1. Unit/Chapter Goal/s:
Parts of Paragraph, Descriptive writing
Students will be able to understand and differentiate parts of paragraph and apply tips of
Descriptive writing.
2. Learning Objectives:
Cognitive: Students will be able to explain what are the parts of paragraph and understand how to
describe a person or thing using tips of writing descriptive paragraph.
Affective: Students will be able to practice writing descriptive paragraph consisting of parts of
paragraph.
Psychomotor: Students will be able to identify parts of paragraph and apply in descriptive writing when
they are writing about their friends.
3. Materials: (books, projector, pad paper)
4. Intro/Anticipatory Set: (Review, and let students answer what is paragraph and what are the parts of
paragraph)
5. Procedure:
Warm up question about paragraph/ prior knowledge on paragraph
List down what they answer on the board
Explain about paragraph
Ask what are the parts of a paragraph
Explain parts of a paragraph
Show example and let students find out parts of paragraph
Ask what does descriptive mean (Explain or Illustrate)
Explain descriptive paragraph
Let them read example and ask “Who is he?”
Ask students to read the activity instruction
Then keep those paper
Give homework sheet to students
Close the class by summarizing the lesson
