Maimoona:-
Maimoona was the village’s beauty. She was married to Chukra

Rawthar. She runs alittle stationary shop. Her walk was crammed with
power and abundance, sleeves rolled up to reveal her arms, her skin
was translucent beneath there have been blue veins, which seemed like
a stunning filigree. She wont to often turn her charms on her pursuers,
reducing them to blushing juveniles
Padma:-
Padma is Ravi’s ex-girlfriend. She studied within the same college as

Ravi, Madras Christian College in Madras. Padma was considerably
crazy with Ravi. She was caring, always tried to cheer Ravi up back
within the college, whenever he was upset or tensed. When Ravi
deserted her, she had been hurt. But, yet she still gathered the strength
to seek out him and meet him.
Nallamma:-
Nallamma is that the goddess of smallpox, queen of the viral hosts. She
had an oracle, named Kuttadan. She had once stepped out of her idol,
and possessed the body of her oracle. She was very wicked and
heartless. She had strung garlands of pus and death together vast
flower bed. She spread the disease so vigorously, which was a pleasure
to her. little kids died as she suckled them in her monstrous motherhood.
She was also of a jealous kind.
Thithi Umma:-
Thithi Umma was Allappicha Mollakka’s first wife. She had a daughter,
her name was Maimoona. She was very emotional. She was worried
tons for her husband’s health. She would feed him medicated chicken
stock , but she also knew she might never be ready to gather the worth
for the chicken. She was very proud, seeing her daughter growing up, all

matured everyday, impatient and challengingly beautiful like no other

woman in Khasak. She was also mellow enough to forgive.
Suma and Rama:-

Suma and Rama is that the stepsister of Ravi. Both were studying
abroad. Suma and Rama, seemed out of the own circle of relatives
album with the eyes of strangers. Where had Ravi left that album, where
in with inside the hollows of the unquiet thoughts had he deserted his
sisters?
Narayani:-
Narayani is Shivraman's wife. They married about thirty years ago. She
was much concerned about her beauty. Narayani would bare herself to
the sunny forenoon winds and smear sandal paste everywhere her body.
She wont to apply sandalwood paste on her body. Shivaraman Nair was
gazed even after seeing her after thirty years. that they had a daughter
named Kalayanikutti.
Lakshmi:-
Lakshmi is Wife of Gopalu panicker. She features a son. Lakshmi's
dream was to form his son an enormous man, and that is why she told
Ravi to show him English. She wont to keep the image of an enormous
man desperate secret hidden deep in her mind and memory. As her
cousin living during a town worked as a clerk during a office , she also
wanted her son Ramakutti to review in sub-urban school and become a
clerk like him. and she or he wanted her son to ride a Raleigh bicycle
wearing rimless glasses and fragrance cigarette between his lips.
Abida:-

Abida was the daughter of Chukra Rawat, the diver from an earlier
marriage. Little Abida grew up crying. A wet glaze lay over her eyes, an
orphan glaze, as if the tears hadn't dried in them. She lost her mother in
previous days of her childhood and was found dead during a well. there
have been talks within the village that chukrru drowned her and a few
claimed that some jealous lover did her murder.
Neeli:-
Neeli was Appukilii's mother. Nachi, Kochi, kali, pechi and Neeli were
four sisters. Neeli wont to stay back reception as a housewife or
housekeeper. the primary four had married but brought forth no children.
Neeli, who had no
husband, delivered when she was sixteen.
Nachi:-
Nachi is that the eldest of all sister. When Pechi left the Khasak Nachi
also followed her, which was the last time Khasak heard of them. it had
been rumoured that both were killed during a rock blasting. and a few
said that both sisters had been lured by wily southerner and trio fled
south.
Kochi:-
Kochi is that the 2nd eldest sister. Kochi was ill with the uterine disorder.
She died at a really young age. When Kochi passed, the massive family
was suddenly collapsed into three fellas.
Kali:-
Kali is that the wife kuttappu, and she or he was the 2nd youngest sister
among all five sisters.

Chandumma:-
She was the daughter of the wandering mystic Thangal Pakkiri, a widow.
She was a servant of Ravi. Ravi himself hired her because Shivraman
Nair did not hire a servant for him. She had a toddler named Kunhu
Nooru. She may be a pale and sad woman with dark patches on her
cheeks and round her eyes.
Kalyanikutti:-
She is that the wife of Kuppu Achan. She was the daughter of
Shivraman Nair and Narayani. she was a tragic spinster trapped inside
her the feudal home looked out through ancient peepholes at the
assailing silk and colour.
Kesi:-
Kuppu-Acchan's daughter in law is Kesi. Kesi's husband visited Tamil
country up within the mountains plucking tree leaves. And Kesi was
unaware of him returning .
Cholayumma:-
She was Kunha-Amina's Mother. She has been introduced during this
book where she had given Kunhamina bath and was tracing her head
with scented oil.
Sohra Bi:-
Sohra bi was Attar's wife. it had been rumoured that she gave money to
Nizam Ali for his beedi company.
