to understand how external influences affect us in different aspects.

Students will also be revising the concepts of parts of speech and will
be learning about biography and autobiography.

Mathematics
In Mathematics, for this unit, students will
develop number sense.
‣Represent and describe whole numbers to 1

‣Students will demonstrate the following skills:
‣ An understanding of multiplication (1- and 2 digit multipliers)
‣ An understanding of division (1- and 2 digit divisors)
‣ An understanding of fractions by using concrete and pictorial
representations and create sets of equivalent fractions and
compare fractions with like and unlike denominators
‣ Students will be able to describe and represent decimals (tenths,
hundredths, and thousandths)
‣ Relate decimals to fractions (tenths, hundredths, thousandths)
‣ Demonstrate an understanding of addition and subtraction of
decimals (to thousandths)
‣ Read and write ratios,
‣ Use fractions, decimals and percentages interchangeable in real-
life situations.

Personal, Social and Physical Education


For this unit of inquiry, PSPE concepts will also be explored. We will:
‣ Identity
‣ Examine the complexity of their own evolving identities
‣ Recognise how a person’s identity affects self-worth
‣ Analyse how society can influence our concept of self-worth (for example,
through the media and advertising)
‣ Use emotional awareness and personal skills to relate to and help others
‣ Identify how their self-knowledge can continue to support the growth and development of identity
‣ The physical changes people experience at different stages in their lives affect their evolving
identities
‣ Active living
‣ Identifying and participating in activities we enjoy can motivate us to maintain a healthy
lifestyle there is a connection between exercise, nutrition and physical well-being
‣ There are physical, social and emotional changes associated with puberty.

Visual Arts
In VA class, we will be exploring our own identity. We will
be exploring on different symbols of likes, interests inspired
by Giuseppe Arcimboldo self portraits. We will also:
‣Reflect throughout the creative process to challenge their
thinking and enact new and unusual possibilities
‣Explore the concept that the arts provide us with multiple perspectives
‣ Become increasingly independent in the realisation of the creative process
‣ Develop an awareness of their personal preferences
‣ Explore the concept that the arts provide opportunities to explore our creative potential and engage in a personal
artistic journey

Music
In Music class, students are learning the song “ I am the Earth”.

Hindi Language
In Hindi Language class, students will be learning to:
‣ Be able to recite a poem
‣ Be able to understand the relevance of co-existence by story- Bhiksha Patra
‣ Grammar- be able to describe the picture
‣ Be able to learn some vocabulary through Ling, Vachan, Vilom

French Language
Tamil Language
In French Language class, students have been learning the
