the genome of the organism, we can change its
characteristics.

2. In what ways do you think this GMO can positively impact society?

 GMO has been on the market for 20 years and, since then, the
industry has benefited from GM production and marketing. GMO

supports society by growing healthy and abundant crops while
conserving natural resources. GMO goods offer economic
benefits to millions of customers. It also reduces emissions of
agriculturally based greenhouse gasses (GHG) and soil erosion.
The use of GMOs conserves water, while the use of many
agricultural chemicals is greatly decreased by GMOs. Eventually,
GMO technology also has the ability to change the lives of
millions in the developing world.

3. What ethical issues or concerns may arise as a result of this GMO?

There are five sets of ethical issues have been raised with regards
to GM crops: the possible harm to human health; its potential
environmental damage; the detrimental effects on conventional farming
practices; undue corporate dominance; and 'unnatural' technology.
