SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
• We use the simple present tense to talk about
things in general; daily activities, habit , truth.
• Something happens all the time
• Repeatedly

PRESENT TENSE

Remember!
• If the subject is Singular →Verb + s/ es /ies
He gets up at 4 o’clock in the morning
She gets up at 4 o’clock in the morning
It rises in the east

• If the the subject is singular verb ending –ss (guess), ch (watch), x(mix)
->adding es;
Guess-guesses- Ary always guesses the picture on your phone.
Watch-Watches-Ary watches his favorite match once a week.
Mix-Mixes

• If a word ends in a consonant Y+ (by, ry, ly) changes to ie before the ending-s:

Hurry: Hurries Study: Studies Apply: Applies

Y does not change if the word ends in a vowel + y (-ay, ey, -uy)

• We use do/does to make negative and Question for main verb:
