planning and management of such said regions.

Tourism has been accepted in many parts of the world as an alternate
strategy for economic development and progress. Tourism can be a a
great remedy for the economic problems of Gilgit Baltistan so we are
going to identify the indicators which affect the potential of tourism in
Gilgit Baltistan Region and make Gilgit Baltistan a formal region by
identifying the potential tourist destinations using different analysis
techniques.

The identify different areas with the most tourism potential and
defining the indicators and giving them their according weightages
using analysis method. These analysis are performed on official data as
well as data from secondary sources.

region of Pakistan is located in the North of Pakistan. It borders Azad
Jamo Kashmir to the South and the province of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa to
the West. It is located a distance of approximately 400 KMs from the
capital city Islamabad. Gilgit Baltistan is generally a colder region
located at higher altitude. It is famous for highest mountain ranges in
the world like Mount Godwin Austen K2 and The Killer Mountain Nanga
