Today I am hosting an Internshala Internship talk to tell you all about ‘‘Easiest way to earn
Pocket Money and gain Experience’

Colleges have reopened, but students are at home, due to the COVID-19 situation.

Although students are having online classes, they have a significant amount of spare time at
hand which is a golden opportunity for them.

They can utilize this time to earn pocket money and gain experience, and explore their interests!

Slide 3. How can you utilise your time in the best way?

● Apply for part-time/work from home internships: Start your journey by applying to
internships that are easier to get like ‘part-time’ and ‘work from home’ internships.
Getting selected for these internships would open doors for you to get the first-hand
experience and help you get ready for big opportunities.
● Apply for campus ambassador internships: The best part of doing a campus
ambassador internship is that you get to work from the college itself with your own
convenience and also get a chance to earn a huge stipend.
● Volunteering Activities: You can also apply to various volunteering internships that not
only provides you with an opportunity to improve your time management, communication
skills but also gives you a satisfaction of having helped others and improved mental well
being.

2. I applied a while back but I still haven’t heard from the employer? What do I do?
Generally, employers take 2-3 weeks to reply. Advise the student to keep checking her
Internshala dashboard for application status changes.

3. What does my application status mean?


At Internshala, a student can view the application status of all the internships on a real-time
basis. Here’s what different application status means –
1. Applied- Student has applied for the internship and her application has been shared
with the company
2. Seen- Employer has seen the application and may or may not consider for the further
rounds.
3. Under review- Employer has taken forward the student's application and is currently
reviewing it
4. In-touch- The employer has sent a message to the student through Internshala chat
5. Hired- is selected for the internship.
6. Not selected- Student's application has been rejected.
7. Inactive- Internship has been brought down/rejected.
