Finished Measurements: Wingspan x depth at centre after wet blocking: 66" x 24" / 167.5 cm x 61 cm  
Yarn: 450-600 yds /405 - 449 m DK weight / 8-ply yarn that achieves gauge. Sample knit in Madelinetosh
Tosh DK, in colourway Memory 
Needle Size: US size 8 / 5 mm long circular needle for holding a large number of stitches, US 9 / 5.5 mm for
bind off 
Notions: Tapestry needle, 3 stitch markers, safety pin or removable marker  
Gauge: 16 sts = 4" / 10 cm in Lace Stitch after wet blocking (gauge is not overly important; however, it will
alter yardage and finished measurements) 
Skill Level: Intermediate
Notes: Classic heart-shaped triangle knit top down with picot edging. Written and Charted Instructions.

Abbreviations & Technique

k- knit   p- purl 
k2tog- knit 2 stitches together  rep- repeat 
ktbl- knit through back loop  slpw- slip stitch as if to purl
m1l- with left hand needle, lift the horizontal strand sm- slip marker  
between both stitches from front to back. Knit this ssk- slip slip knit
