Purpose of Document
A Post Implementation review is conducted after completing the project. Its activities aim
to evaluate whether project objectives were met, how effectively the project was run, lessons for
the future, and the actions required to maximise the benefits from the project outputs.

Section 1 Customer / User Assessment


1.1 Business Goals and Objectives
Document whether the products or services delivered by the project meet the Customers
business objectives. Also provide if the deliverables are functioning as expected and the error
rates. How does the end result compare with the original project plan, in terms of quality,
schedule and budget?

1.2 Project Results and Benefits


Provide the expected results and benefits as documented in the Statement of Work. Provide the
Satisfaction of stakeholders and the end user perspective.

Section 2 Business Lessons Learned


Include lessons learned related to how well the project resolved business problems and needs.
Describe lessons learned in terms of a problem (issue). Identify recommended improvements to
correct similar problems in the future, including such things as plans for improved communication
and follow-up about the project.

Section 3 Recommendation & Gap Analysis


Provide the recommendations to get more value out of the project and recommendations to close
any gaps that may have been found during the project. What routine activities are needed to
support the project’s success?

Section 4 Project Execution
Provide your feedback about the project execution across various phases of the projects
including Discovery, Implementation and User Acceptance. How these phases were conducted,
documented and communicated over the course of the project. Did the Quality of project
deliverables meet customers expectations. Provide any relevant feedback to improve the future
phases of the projects.
