Computer system, a word processor, computer studies text book

Students are familiar with computer ethics and fundamental computer operations.

D.CONTENT:

A word processor, advantages and uses of word processors

E.INTRODUCTION:

Word processing is the use of computer software to create, edit, view, store retrieve and print
documents.

F.PRESENTATION (Step by step exposition of the material)

Step 1:What is Word processing?

Word processing refers to creating, editing, formatting, storing, retrieving, and printing of
documents such as letters, memos or any type of correspondence with a computer.

A word processor is a program or an application package that helps to create neat and
attractive documents easily and quickly.

Step 2: Advantages of word processing

1. Corrections can easily be made to a document.

2. A document can be saved and used at a later time.

3. It allows editing of a document as many times as possible. You can save different
versions and go back to an earlier one.

4. It allows the use of the many features available with the software e.g. borders, text
layout etc.

5. The following tools like spell checker, grammar checker will help to improve the
accuracy of a document.

6. There are large number of templates available to ease the creation of documents.
