    3. Value the importance of conserving mineral resources.
    ELICIT ( 5 minutes) MATERIALS
    1. The teacher will present a graphic organizer and ask the learners to complete the Graphic organizer
    concepts about seismic waves.

    ENGAGE ( 15 minutes)
    1. The teacher will give an activity to the learners about the layers of the Earth using Chart/table

    1. Using the learners’ answers on the guide questions below, ask them to make a Manila paper, marker
    short story.

    1. What element is the most abundant in the Earth’s crust?
    2. What elements make up most of the mantle?
    3. What is the special feature of the upper mantle?
    4. What materials make up the inner core?
    5. Is the inner core solid, liquid, or gas? What keeps it in this phase?
    6. Compare the inner core and the outer core.
