S.Y. 2021- 2022

TEACHER Mr. Jogilito B. Paragua

SUBJECT Science
GRADE LEVEL 8
UNIT TITLES 1st Quarter: Force, Motion, and Energy
2nd Quarter: Earth and Space
3rd Quarter: Matter
4th Quarter: Living Things and Their Environment
SUBJECT DESCRIPTION K8 Science is a four hour in a week subject of Grade 8. The course is divided into four areas: First is Physics, which covers the topics about Force,
Motion, and Energy. In this part, the student will explore and discover how an object moves, how machines and other bodies work and produces
power and energy, how the speed of light and sound affects each other, and how heat and electricity works. Second is Earth and Space, in this period,
the learners will understand the relationship of earthquakes and faults, and why the Philippines is prone to Typhoons. They will also explore the Solar
System and its characteristics. Third is Matter (Chemistry), in this part, they will discover how an object is stated as an element, compound, or
mixture. They will also explore the structure of an atom. And lastly, is all about Living Things and their Environment (Biology, which explains the
structure and function of the Digestive System, and how Traits are inherited. It also illustrates the Linnaean System of Classification, wherein the
students will categorize and organism. In this part, they will explore the ecosystem, and how to take care of it.
