Model 210 Digital

Electro-Hydraulic Set-Stop
Specifications
Issue/Rev. 0.2 (10/96) Bulletin SS03009

The Smith Model 210 Valve is typically used in conjunc-

tion with either the Smith AccuLoad, MiniLoad, or Model
SS1 Controller and Preset Counter for preset loading
control at load racks, bulk plants, or processing installa-
tions.

Features
Simple control loop.
Control loop isolation valves.
Low pressure drop.
Separate opening and closing speed control.
Compound spring.
Horizontal or vertical applications.
Full range of optional control functions.

Operation
Flow Rate GPM First Stage Trip*
The Smith Model 210 Valve basically consists of a Smith 900
200 Series Valve with two solenoid controls (see Figure

Caution: There must be sufficient pump capacity to achieve
the flow rate set into the SS1, AccuLoad, or MiniLoad or the
valve may close slowly resulting in a spill.

Closing Opening
Speed Speed tions do not change. When operating conditions (e.g.,
Control Control pressures) change, causing a change in flow rate for that
fixed valve opening, the flow controller (e.g., SS1 or
Strainer
AccuLoad) signals the appropriate solenoid to open mo-
Flow mentarily to readjust flow rate back to its set value. When
Figure 1 — Model 210 Valve Schematic the set flow rate changes (e.g., from low flow start to high
flow limit, or during multi-step valve shutdown), the ap-
propriate solenoid is signalled to open until flow rate ad-
