Course Project Specifications


General Instruction:

1. Read the instructions carefully.

3. Save your file in PDF format and upload in the LMS, and must follow the filename
convention: <LastName><FirstName>-CourseProject.

I. Make a podcast about the documentary- The Social Dilemma


by answering these prompts:
1. What is the impact of social media in our society especially in
terms of politics and social trends? Kindly provide a specific example.
2. After watching the documentary, voice out 5 things that you
learned from the film.
3. Briefly explain one quote from the film.
4. Identify and analyse one key issue or point in the documentary that you observe, and
‘you think is worth an analysis and discussion’.

The podcast should be 5 minutes to 10 minutes long INCLUDING the 30 seconds dedicated time
for the intro, transition and outro sounds. Again, any obvious abuse of sound relative to the
podcast size will have corresponding negative effect on your output. And also create a cover for
your podcast and please provide the script of your podcast on the space provided below.

b. Create a poster for your podcast.
c. Kindly paste your podcast link in the box provided below. (Google Drive, Youtube link
and etc) or upload your podcast on LMS.

II. Case study: This course introduces students to the contemporary world by
examining the multifaceted phenomenon of globalization. Using the various
disciplines of the social sciences, it examines the economic, social, political,
technological, and other transformations that have created an increasing
awareness of the interconnectedness of peoples and places around the globe.

a. A case study is a subcategory of research design which investigates problems and


offers solutions. You are free to choose topics for your case study. Kindly follow the
format below.

b. Case Study Format


i. Executive Summary. Explain what you will examine in the case study. Write an
overview of the field you’re researching. Make a thesis statement and sum up
the results of your observation in a maximum of 2 sentences.
ii. Background. Provide background information and the most relevant facts.
Isolate the issues.
iii. Case Evaluation. Isolate the sections of the study you want to focus on. In it,
explain why something is working or is not working.
iv. Proposed Solutions. Offer realistic ways to solve what isn’t working or how to
improve its current condition. Explain why these solutions work by offering
testable evidence.
v. Conclusion. Summarize the main points from the case evaluations and proposed
solutions.
vi. Recommendations. Talk about the strategy that you should choose. Explain why
this choice is the most appropriate.
vii. Implementation. Explain how to put the strategy into action.
viii. References. Provide all the citations.
