ICT is having a significant impact on every field under the sun, including

education. It boosts the effectiveness of education, both in terms of teaching and


learning. It helps literacy campaigns. It broadens the scope of education by enabling
mobile or computer-aided learning as well as inclusive education. It also promotes
independent learning among students. The impact of ICT and its potential for the
education field is broad; it is changing and developing with time, just as the needs of our
learners in terms of learnings do. It has a positive impact on all stakeholders in the
education industry, assisting them in creating and co-creating data for learning.

ICT is used in education to familiarize students and teachers with the use and
functioning of computers, as well as with the social and ethical issues that arise as a
result of its use. It is widely accepted that Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) can empower both teachers and students. It encourages transformation in
education in the 21st century and aids in the continuation of education during this
pandemic period. Not only does Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
revolutionize teaching, but it also transforms learning processes. Student learning gains
will rise as a result of the transition, which will give learners with the opportunity to
expand their creativity, communication abilities, and other thinking skills. It is
necessary to create an entire learning environment in which students, teachers,
administrators, and parents can easily communicate and collaborate with one another,
share secure information around the clock, and, boosts educational effectiveness. It also
helps literacy campaigns in this challenging time. It broadens the scope of education by
enabling mobile learning and inclusive education or the online learning process, which
is one of the modalities offered by the entire Philippine Education.

Using ICT, the Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, and


other agencies, collaborated with their members across the country to develop a
continuity plan to aid and not to hamper education. The majority of the outputs or
results that the teachers delivered to students through various modalities were the
product of ICT. Technology is used extensively throughout the agencies, from
communication to strategy and implementation.

In reality, ICT plays a critical role in pursuing education in the midst of a pandemic
because it provides educators with the chance to transform the way learning occurs and
facilitate student development.

 In teaching and learning processes, ICT has enabled better and faster
communication, as well as a more effective and relevant presentation of ideas. It
is an effective instrument for gathering knowledge; as a result, students are
encouraged to seek information from a variety of sources, and they are now better
informed than they were previously.
 In teaching, it serves as a portal to the world of information, allowing teachers to
stay current. It raises awareness of new instructional approaches, evaluation
mechanisms, and other aspects of professional growth.

 Upon preparation of the context, ICT provides a variety of tools that teachers or
lecturers can use to show and exhibit as part of their instruction.

 It also allows educators to communicate with students and engage them in more
meaningful ways. These technical instruments can be purpose-built for
education, such as software or hardware utilized in the setting, such as word
processors and spreadsheets.

 Teachers are capable in lesson constructions in different manners, with the help
of ICT which offers resources, expertise, and advise. It is also simpler to plan and
prepare lessons, as well as create student materials.

 After the preparation of the ideas / context of the lesson, the computer tools
assist teachers as well as the students in manipulating large amounts of data. This
then creates the framework for productive discussion, which aids in the
development of subject comprehension.

 Teachers can improve their professional image by using ICT. This can assist
teachers establish a persona that boosts their image when delivering the class.

 ICT, can sometimes assist teachers in having access to up-to-date student and
school data at any time and from any location.

 ICT then improves and expands the options for learning across the curriculum;
nowadays, students learn not just from the context or lesson offered by teachers,
but also by exploring the internet. As a result, ICT provides additional
opportunity for students to demonstrate their hard work to audiences or teachers.

 Students acquire confidence as a result of being able to do and demonstrate


things they had not previously been able to achieve, allowing them to explore
more and share more ideas with others.

 ICT aids in demonstrating students' abilities. It also includes in the education


revolution 4.0, wherein it will be a great help to the learners in dealing with
education, and of course not to mention the Job awaited to our learners after this
long journey, our learners should be capable in adjusting and making with the
Technology / ICT.
