INTRODUCTION

1 LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
is a software application for the administration, documentation,
tracking, reporting, automation and delivery of educational courses,
training programs, or learning and development programs.

- is a social networking service and virtual learning environment


for K-12 school and higher education institutions that allows
users to create, manage, and share academic content.

- founded by Jeremy Friedman, Ryan Hwang and Tim Trinidad


while still undergraduates at Washington University in St. Louis,
MO in August 2009.
2 VIDEO CONFERENCING
- is a technology that allows users in different locations to hold face-to-
face meetings without having to move to a single location together.

- is a free software web conferencing system for GNU/Linux servers. In


addition to various web conferencing services, it has integrations for
many of the major learning and content management systems.

- In 2009 Richard Alam, Denis Zgonjanin, and Fred Dixon uploaded the
BigBlueButton source code to Google Code and formed Blindside
Networks.
2 VIDEO CONFERENCING
-Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (Zoom) is an
American communications technology company
headquartered in San Jose, California.

-It provides videotelephony and online chat


services through a cloud-based peer-to-peer
software platform and is used for
teleconferencing, telecommuting, distance
education, and social relations.

-Eric Yuan, a former Cisco Webex engineer and


executive, founded Zoom in 2011, and launched
its software in 2013.
3 COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Students are required to do the following:

1. Reading of assigned text and other materials.


2. Regular class attendance.
3. Bring scientific calculator. Prescribed calculators by the
PRC are recommended.
4. Punctual performance of assigned tasks such as
performance tasks, quizzes, class/home works, reflective
papers, reports, projects, major examinations, etc.
5. Active participation in oral activities and discussions.
6. Compliance to all computational works/requirements.
4 CLASSROOM POLICIES
1. Students must observe and practice the National University core
values.
2. Students must avoid using their mobile devices, unless deemed
necessary, in order to concentrate better in class.
3. Attendance is a must. Students must not have more than 8.1 hours
of absence and tardiness in the entire term/semester. Otherwise,
a remark of NCA (no credit due to absences) will be given at the
end of the term/semester.
4. Any student who violates policy on academic honesty will
automatically be suspended. These include plagiarism and data
fabrication.
5. Students must always come prepared to class and are required to
bring all necessary books/references and materials with them.

7 ASSESMENT ACTIVITY
Students enrolled will be assessed through the following:

Quizzes are submitted online


QUIZZES with limited time of answering
and scheduled submission.

A scheduled date or any discussion of any topic


SEATWORKS for seatwork to be given to students in assessing
their understanding about the given topic.
Assessment may be similar to quizzes however, in
this activity, they are allowed to ask question from
their peers and instructors. More time to answer
the problems will be provided.
7 ASSESMENT ACTIVITY
PLATES Plates are to given and submitted per activity guidelines.

EXAMINATIONS Prelim, Midterm, Finals and Departmental Examinations


shall be given in two platform options:
(1) Modular, by which a specific duration to submit examinations
output will be given along with the instructions which is similar to the
quizzes however, content of questions will be different and will be on
an examination level.
(2) Online Observation, during a zoom group call, the instructor will
present the questions and thus in the entire duration of online class the
instructor will be observing the student answering those questions and
will require them to submit their work after duration of the group call.
