Prior-knowledge

Measurements- a systematic procedure of determining the quantity or


extent of entire measurable dimension.
Measurement needed- it is the indicated measurement that serve as divisor
to get the exact or computed measurement.
Computed measurements- it is the actual body measurement divided by
the measurement needed

B. PRESENTATION

Body Measurements for Children’s Wear

Children’s wear requires a specific measurements achieve the


designed identified by the customers.
There is no probably no sewing activity so immediately satisfying as
sewing for children. You get quick results for one thing, because the
garments have smaller dimensions. Also, more shortcuts can be taken in
techniques. Children’s garments should be constructed to survive vigorously
activity and endless washings. Other special considerations include
providing room for sudden growth spurts, and planning garment that are
easy to put on.

home for the pattern activity is acceptable.

D. GENERALIZATION/ SYNTHESIS
Accurate body measurement is very important in drafting basic block
front pattern of a simple blouse for children’s wear because it is the
foundation of a pattern. Your garment design and accuracy will not be
accurate and fit to the wearer if the measurement was not measured properly.
It is also very important to follow the procedures on how to draft the
front pattern because the back pattern is almost the same with it. If you
perform well in drafting the front pattern, you will find it easy to draft the
back pattern.
