    Activity 6: Identifying and Reading the Tigsik


    1. Who do you think is talking in the first tigsik?
     The one who talked the first tagsik was the young boy.
    2. What is he saying about the maiden in the tigsik?
     He said that the maiden has a fragrant smell like a Sampaguita and
    he couldn’t forget her.
    3. What is the effect of the maiden to the man talking?
     The man admires the maiden a lot to the point he couldn’t forget her
    when they met.
    4.Who is talking in the second tigsik?
     The one who talked the second tagsik was the maiden.
    5.What is her challenge to the man she’s talking about?
     The challenge for the man is to climb 7 mountains.
    6. Do you think men nowadays are still being challenged and given a hard
    time by the women during courtship?
     Yes, but it's not as difficult as before. During our grandparent's time, a
    man who wants to be taken seriously by a woman, he has to visit the
    latter's family and introduce himself formally to the parents of the girl.
    It is rather inappropriate to court a woman and formalize the
    relationship without informing the parents of the girl. It is always
    expected that the guy must show his face to the girl's family. While in
    this modern-day era, courtship only occurs between the boy and girl
    and doesn’t have any interaction with the parents. Also before, the
    suitor must present a little presentation for the girl like harana, etc.
    while in the courtship era of Millennials, video calls and chat will do.
    Activity 7: Writing the Tigsik
    Write your own tigsik about a current and relevant issue using your Bikol
    native tongue. Use a maximum of 3 stanzas with 4 lines each.

    DISTANCE LEARNING
    Buwan ng hunyo nung dapat nagsimula
    Face to face learning ay sanang ginagawa
    Ngunit sa pagpasok ni Corona ay maraming napinsala
    Pati aming mumunting edukasyon ay muling nagambala

    Distance learning ay yaring naging pag asa


    Pansamantalang edukasyon na pabor lamang sa may kaya
    Mga mag aaral at magulang ay mapipilitang magtiyaga
    Para lang maisakatuparan ang naudlot na pag asa

    Ilan lamang yan sa mga sitwasyon ng new normal na pagbabago


    Halos lahat ng galawan sa panahon ngayon ay ibinato
    Kay cellphone, tablet, laptop at internet ang ating pambato
    Nang kay distance learning na pagbabago makasunod tayo
