    Socialization and Enculturation
    I. Essay (10 points)

    The cliché “The family that prays together, stays together” suggested more than a
    religious message. Write an essay that provides sociological information of this
    message. (Minimum of 5 sentences, and maximum of 10 sentences only.)

    The power of faith is the basic foundation upon which a family unit is
    built. A family that focuses on prayer to the Almighty has a strong foundation that
    will endure anything life throws at them. This idea is applicable to any family.
    Prayer is an essential part of every family's spiritual journey, and children must
    be taught the power of prayer in a family environment. Include your children in
    family prayers because it teaches them the value of prayer and strengthens their
    connection with God. Today, most families rarely do anything together,
    preferring to watch television, use computers, or speak on their phones. They
    are no longer able to access God's unity via prayer, yet they don't even have
    time to have a good night's sleep before nightfall.
