LEARNING PLAN
MATHEMATICS 10
Week 1
Hi, I am Ma’am Laarni Twinkle C. Cuenca, your Mathematics teacher. I prefer to be called Ma’am Twinkle for short.
Unfortunately due to this pandemic, we could not meet personally and we need to acquire different educational realities in order for us to teach you
and for you to learn. I hope that despite of these changes happening, you will learn and appreciate your subjects especially my subject,
Mathematics. In my subject, you will learn different formulas and techniques on how to solve different problems involving different topics in
Mathematics. Mathematics 10 is a spiral design of topics which allows mastery of competencies which will be able the students to cope up with the lessons.
In Grade 10 math lessons, we cover all the key concepts and skills involving numbers and number sense, measurement, patterns and algebra, geometry and
statistics and probability that can be used in critical thinking, problem solving, communicating, reasoning, making connections, representations, and decisions in
real-life. Grade 10 students will be able to demonstrate understanding of key concepts and principles of patterns and algebra (sequences, series, polynomials,
polynomial equations, and polynomial functions); geometry (circle and coordinate geometry); and statistics and probability (combinatorics and probability, and
measures of position) as applied – using appropriate technology – in critical thinking, problem solving, reasoning, communicating, making connections,
representations and decisions in real life.
As we move on, we will get to know each other more. But for now, let me give you our virtual classroom rules and guidelines.
The subject outline for the entire year will be given, you are expected to browse the lessons and activities and submit it according to the date of
submission. If you have any problem about the subject itself, please let me know so we can solve it as early as possible.
Creating a GC will be done for the week one, so we can easily reach each other regarding school matters. You are required to send your
Gmail account or FB account/name. This is for us to have an extent connection even though we could not meet personally and to easily
send out information regarding school matters.
Apart from the GC, we will be having our own CAMPUS LMS. You will access your own LMS account and see what activities, lectures and
announcements you will be doing. You will also see different links where you can watch different videos for additional information.
We will provide an FB page where you can post all your completed task in each quarter.
If something unclear as per how the lesson and activity presented, do not hesitate to raise or ask a question regarding for that. You can
make a personal message via messenger or Gmail account; I am so much willing to answer all your questions.
HONESTY is the best policy. Since we cannot meet personally, I don’t know if you do the activities yourself or someone else does them. In
this virtual classroom, you need to be true to yourselves, you need to do your activities of your own knowledge or learning of the topics. You
can ask for help from others but you cannot copy it.
Regarding the submission of your outputs, there would be two ways; (1) online submission and (2) dropping your outputs to the
Department’s drop box.
For online submission, you will upload your output with complete name, grade and section and title in the FB page provided by the teacher
or at the LMS link and for those students with no Internet connection, you will submit your printed outputs or submit a usb unit with complete
name, grade and section, subject and the date, the activity number, title and the subject teacher’s name in the drop box designated by the
department.
Other important announcements or reminders will be sent to you as we go along in the course.
