Summary
General Developing students’ knowledge and understanding of
Objectives about the sexual reproduction.
Specific Students will be able to describe the sexual reproduction
Objectives: in plants by explaining the life cycle of flowering plants.
Cognitive
Affective Students will be able to distinguish between epigeal and
hypogeal germination.
Psychomotor Students will be able to sketch the life cycle of flowering
plants.
Teaching White board, marker, model of life cycle of flowering
Resources plant, chart, textbook.
Teaching Lecture cum demonstration method and discussion
Methodology method.

Strategies
Previous Teacher will asks some questions to check the previous 3 minutes
Knowledge knowledge of students.

What is reproduction?

What is sexual reproduction?

Announcement Teacher relates the previous knowledge of students with 2 minutes

of the topic topic and announces the topic name and writes it on the Sexual
board. reproduction
In plants
Presentation Teacher will tell about the definition of sexual 25 minutes
reproduction.

During sexual reproduction the male and female gametes

fuse with each other and produce zygote. The zygote then
develops into offspring. Then teacher will draw the picture
of alternation of generation in plants on the board.
2

Then teacher will tell about the life cycle of angiosperms

(flowering plants) and explain everything that is included
in the part of flower.

Then teacher will asks some questions to the students.

What is sporophyte generation?

What are stamens?

What is ovary?

What is alternation of generation?

Then teacher will tell about the stages of the life cycle. In
which teacher will tell about the development of female
gametophyte (embryo sac). Teacher will explain the
development of female gametophyte from the chart for
better understanding of students.
3

Teacher can also use the model for better understanding of

students if available in science lab. Then teacher will tell
about the life cycle of flowering plant and explain
everything on it. Teacher will use the chart to explain the
life cycle of flowering plant for better understanding of
students.

Then teacher will asks some questions to the students.

What are embryo sacs?

What are pollen grains?

What is endosperm?

What is pollination?

Teacher can also use projector to enhance students

understanding about topic if projector is available in
school.

Recapitulation Teacher will ask some questions to students to assess their 5 minutes
understanding about topic.

1. What is the difference between sporophyte and

gametophyte generation?

2. What is cross pollination?

3. What are megaspores?

4. What is parthenocarpy?
4

Home Task Then give them the home tasks such as says the students 5 minutes
to draw the diagram of alternation of generation in plants, Write home
development of gametophyte and life cycle of flowering task on the
plant. board.

Departure At the end teacher will leave the class by saying “Allah
Hafiz” to students.
