MARKETING

What is marketing?
Marketing refers to activities undertaken by a company to promote the buying or
selling of a product or service. Marketing includes advertising, selling, and
delivering products to consumers or other businesses.

Professionals who work in a corporation's marketing and promotion departments

seek to get the attention of key potential audiences through advertising.
Promotions are targeted to certain audiences and may involve
celebrity endorsements, catchy phrases or slogans, memorable packaging or
graphic designs and overall media exposure.

Marketing as a discipline involves all the actions a company undertakes to draw in

customers and maintain relationships with them. Networking with potential or
past clients is part of the work too, including writing thank you emails, playing golf
with a prospective client, returning calls and emails quickly, and meeting with
clients for coffee or a meal.

At its most basic, marketing seeks to match a company's products and services to
customers who want access to those products.

GOALS

Thoughts and values:

Making them work in
your favor
It is suggested that thoughts and values wield a strong influence
on people and on how you feel about things. If a bit arbitrarily
assuming that some 500 fully formed thoughts fly through your
mind every single day during wake hours, it would be reasonable
to believe that they could be important.

There is actually research suggesting that thoughts and values are

a major influence in your daily joys and hassles, which means that
it should be worthwhile to explore this further.

As far as this thinking goes, there is research showing that

evaluations and thoughts about yourself make for a strong
influence on well-being. There is also research showing that
evaluations and thoughts relating to one’s past and present
experiences can both have an influence on well-being. A seemingly
P a g e | 16

related example of the latter is that people seem to be better off

when they actively choose to make time for expressing gratitude. It
is all just thoughts it seems, and what is the most interesting is
that a great deal of these thoughts can be influenced, changed or
reinforced.
Sales
A person or organization expressing an interest in acquiring
the offered item of value is referred to as a potential buyer,
prospective customer, or prospect. Buying and selling are
understood to be two sides of the same "coin" or transaction.
Both seller and buyer engage in a process of negotiation to
consummate the exchange of values. The exchange, or selling,
process has implied rules and identifiable stages.

Sales Techniques
A sales technique or selling method is used by a salesperson or
sales team to create revenue and help sell more effectively. The
technique typically isn’t a one-size-fits all and is often refined
through trial and error based on past experiences.
 A sales method or technique can be applied to virtually any sales
process, but it often only covers a piece of that process. Rather than
just outlining steps to take, it’s all about skills, focus and communication.

Suggestions and Findings

 The company should do advertisements in the media.
 They don’t maintain t good relations with their employees
 They don’t give motivation to their employees.

CONCLUSION
In review this internship has been an excellent and rewarding experience. I have been able to
meet and network with so many people that I am sure will be able to help me with opportunities
in the future. One main thing that I have learned through this internship is time management skills
as well as self-motivation. When I first started I did not think that I was going to be able to make
myself sit in an office for eight hours a day, five days a week. Once I realized what I had to do I
organized my day and work so that I was not overlapping or wasting my hours. I learned that I
needed to b organized and have questions ready for when it was the correct time to get feedback.
From this internship and time management I had to learn how to motivate myself through being
in the office for so many hours. I came up with various proposals and ideas that the company is
still looking into using.
