Bastismo, Ilen
Bsed Science-3
I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
1.State and explain the three (3) laws of motion.
2.Describe inertia in relation to the mass of an object
3.Investigate the relationship among the mass of an object, the force applied and the acceleration
produced.
II. CONTENT AND MATERIALS
Subject Matter:
1.Law of Inertia
2.Law of Acceleration
3.Law of Interaction
Reference: Science Module Grade 8 Materials: module, laptop, projector

Introduction:
Discussion:
Where
F= is the net force acting on an object,
m= is the mass of the object
a= is the object acceleration
Air will rush out of the balloon forcing the 3rd law ma'am
balloon to move through the air in the opposite
direction, but equal in force.
Describe what happens if you try and push Ms 2nd law ma'am
Araneta. What happens if he pushes back?
Why? If you put force on Ms. Araneta force will be put
back on you. Because of Ms. Araneta mass, you
most likely will not have enough force to make
him accelerate. If Ms. Araneta pushed you, you
most likely would move in the direction of the
force since he has more mass.
IV. EVALUATION:
Answer the following questions using complete sentences.
1. . Describe why you hold your gun next to your shoulder while deer hunting.
2. What is another name for the first law of motion? Why is it given that name?
3. Using Newton’s laws explain why heavier objects require more force than lighter objects to move or
accelerate them?
4. Newton’s third law of motion is also known as the LAW OF?
5. The equation that is used to solve second law problems is
V ASSIGNMENT:
Differentiate the three laws of motion?
