INTRODUCTION
The NSTP or National Service Training Program is a subject where it has three program
components: Reserve Office Training Corps (ROTC), Literacy Training Service (LTS), and Civic
Welfare Training Service (CWTS). The NSTP subject is a college subject where it teach us to be
the best youth in nation building. It helps us to prepare ourselves and to strengthen our civic
and community responsibilities. The activities held in this subject are General Orientation for
NSTP 2, Urban Gardening, The Power of Faith by Pastor Bertiz, The importance of the Youth,
Creative Filipino, I am Proud Filipino, Productive Day with my Family, and Literacy Service
through Online Teaching.

WEEK 1
NSTP GENERAL ORIENTATION
REFLECTION :
The orientation held on March 13,2021 exceeded my expectations. It was

genuinely more than I expected. It was an introduction for the students in new
second semester that concentrated on the details we wanted to hear about NSTP
2.
We began the program by, of course, praising and glorifying God, followed
by singing our national anthem, which made me so happy and at the same time
sad as it reminds me of the days when we used to do it physically. Now that the
current standard has been imposed, as we call it the new normal the only way to
do it is virtually. But kudos to the staff and instructors who did an excellent
job in handling and managing the event.
As we moved on to our main subject, we were also introduced to the faculty

and professors who make up the NSTP family, which was useful because we knew
how and when to contact them if we needed assistance.
There was also a useful power point presentation showing some pictures of
the services that were created and done by the NSTP professors and students that
had a significant effect on their lives.
Furthermore, it gave me such a great feeling knowing how important and

fascinating this subject would be.
Overall, it was a successful orientation. The turnout was great!

WEEK 3
URBAN GRADENING
REFLECTION:
Growing different types of plants became a trend in our country after

enhanced quarantine was implemented. So this week's orientation is sort of fun for
me.
The orientation starts at 9:00 a.m. And we began our program with a prayer
led by Ms. Jasmin Bertiz, accompanied by the national anthem and the Lyceum
hymn.
Ms. Annalisa Alega then makes her opening remarks. She also completed
a recall on each course or program Lyceum has.
After that, we now move on to the main subject, "Urban Gardening," which
is discussed by Engr. Leonardo P. Bilazon. He began by explaining the concept of
urban agriculture and then went on to discuss its history. He said that urban
agriculture is any practices in cultivating, processing and distributing food in or
around urban area.
He then goes on to list the four benefits of home and urban gardening
namely food and nutritional security, environmental quality. economic benefits and
ecosystem services.This seminar is jam-packed with facts since he has also
covered topics such as “how do we get started with urban agriculture”, ”how to
create garden soil” , “how to harvest seeds from vegetables”, “how to store seeds
for planting” and “point to remember when using sealed containers”.
Following the conclusion of the conversation, everyone is given the

opportunity to ask questions about our topic. Before
concluding the conference, they remind us of some
important points, and Ms. Joan Pingkisan delivers
the closing remarks.
In general, It was another fantastic day for us.

WEEK 5
WEBINAR: THE POWER OF FAITH/PASTOR BERTIZ
REFLECTION:
Personally, I am looking forward to today's seminar because the topic is

"The power of faith ," so even though the program begins at 10 a.m., I joined at
9:35 a.m.The program began with a prayer, as is customary, which was
accompanied by the singing of the national anthem and the lyceum hymn. Ms.
Annalisa Alega follows with her opening remarks. She welcomed all attendees and
stated the relevance of this seminar, which is to reinforce our trust in God during
this time of pandemic, as well as to focus on and determine our life's purpose.
After that, we went on to the main subject, with Pastor Ronald Bertiz as our
guest today. Despite having the theme of "the power of faith," Pastor Bertiz insists
on the concept of "having conquers mind”. He then gives the four statements that
are associated with it. First is to do not accept thoughts of failure. Next, fill your
mind with the word of God. Then, renew your mind. Lastly, have a spiritual mind.
As Pastor Bertiz discussed each statement, he gave us a lot of inspirational words
that are really food for the mind.
He concluded his lecture by sharing testimonies that really touched my

heart and inspired me to discover the essence of my life and discover my intent or
purpose. His life is full of challenges, much like mine, but what I've learned from all
of his experiences is to simply believe and have faith in God, for God will never
leave us. HE will bestow the blessing that we deserve.

WEEK 6
TOPIC: THE IMPORTANCE OF THE YOUTH
REFLECTION:
Youths' roles and significance are a hot subject, as everyone agrees that
WE THE YOUTH are the most powerful tool that society possesses.
The subject of today's seminar is "the importance of youth." For me, a

subject like this will act as an inspiration and eye opener for every youth, in the
sense that every single youth will realize their worth and role in this world, as they
represent hope for nation.
The program commenced at precisely 10:00 a.m. And, as a common

practice, we dedicate this day to God, preceded by the singing of the National
Anthem and the Lyceum hymn. For the time being, Mr. Kevin Villanueva provided
the opening remarks. As he says, in this time of pandemic, we need something to
inspire us or to improve our mind and body.
The aim of this webinar is to get some advice that will support us through
this difficult period. Ms. Catherine Dela Torre is the speaker at today's session.
"We have to recognize and be responsible as a youth because youth are the hope
of the country," she said as she started in her power point presentation, "Pinoy
Youth: Making Choices and Building Voices.". Many real-life scenarios and
lessons have been taught to us, such as being concerned about the reproductive
health of young people and youth development programs, the statistics about aids,
abortion, family planning She also give importance on stating facts about suicide
and violence which is common to youth
nowadays
Overall, one point that stands out to

me is when Ma’am Dela Torre said that we
must take care of our own lives in order to
brighten our future; everyone may assist
us, but the final decision is always ours.

CREATIVE FILIPINO
WEEK 7
REFLECTION:
Many nations have revered the Filipino people over the centuries for their
innate creativity and innovation. Numerous people can say with confidence that
Filipinos are talented in any field. The subject of today's seminar is "Creative
Filipino." .A roll call was conducted for each course/department. Following that,
as usual, we give our day to God with a prayer led by Ms. Allysa Mae Perera,
followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the Lyceum hymn.
Ms. Jasmin Bertiz then delivered the opening remarks, stating that Filipinos
are noted for their creativity. They believe that "kung gusto may paraan, kung ayaw
maraming dahilan." By this, she encourages others to be imaginative and
inventive.
Ms. Helen Sanchez is the speaker for today. She

started by stating some of the reasons why people became
artistic, such as idea, motivation, intelligence, and so on.
Following that, she said that Filipinos are imaginative,
resourceful, fast learners, and have the potential to
innovate, with which I completely agree. She further
discusses the benefits of being creative, as well as the
three Rs. As they concluded, a video was shown to us as
a reference for our activity and some important reminders.

POSTER MAKING: I AM PROUD FILIPINO
REFLECTION:
Patriotism means a noble sentiment of love, pride and sacrifice for the sake
of one’s country and it’s people. Patriotism is vital for all students to learn because
it helps them develop a sense of identity and understand their role in society. "I am
Proud Pilipino," is the subject of today's seminar (patriotism). As is common, we
began the day with a prayer, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem
and the lyceum hymn.
As we went on to our main subject, a song called "Ako'y isang mabuting

Filipino" was played. Personally, even though it was my first time hearing this song,
I was hooked and completely blown away by the lyrics, which talk about a proud
Filipino enjoying his own town and carrying out his civic responsibilities. As we
advanced, the term patriotism was more defined. The characteristics of a Filipino
patriot are then presented. Respect the flag and value filipino identity, Patronize
and support our own products, respect everyone and value of traditions, be aware
of the issues of the country, know your nation’s
history and be able to share it to the others, stand
proud for every filipino achievement, be productive
citizen , speak out our own language and not
hesitant to tell where you really came from,
remember and commemorate our heroes sacrifices
for our country and lastly love our family, our
neighbors and our compatriots.

WEEK 9
PRODUCTIVE DAY WITH MY FAMILY
REFLECTION:
Every day is Family day! To recall and appreciate the value of a family, it is
necessary to celebrate it, despite the busy schedules and long distances that a family
member may have. Living with a broken family is difficult because even if you've accepted
the truth that your family will never be reunited, you still desire for each other's love and
care.
We seldom see one other because almost all of my family members work during
the day and sleep at night. As a result, spending meaningful time with them is quite
unusual. Even though we were unable to totally bond with my entire family on this
particular day, I still had a good time. I wake up in the morning with my sister, cousin, and
two nieces beside me, having decided to sleep over the night before. It was a wonderful
way to begin the day, witnessing their angelic expressions. We begin our day by making
our beds and going through our morning ritual. After that, we all head to the kitchen to
cook for our breakfast. Following that, we do housework and
rush to take a bath because we have no water from 11:00 a.m.
until 6:00 p.m. After we had a bath, I spent my time playing
mobile legends with my brother, who had just gotten home from
work, and then I spent time bonding with my two nieces by
watching cartoons and coloring flowers and butterflies, which
they love the most. On this day, I'll also get the opportunity to
help my mother in preparing our lunch as we converse and
catch up. And after we ate our lunch, we went to one of our
relatives' home and spent the rest of the day there. Overall, it
was a fantastic day filled with laughter and happiness.

LITERACY SERVICE THROUGH ONLINE TEACHING
REFLECTION:
LTS is one of the NSTP program components that plays an important part
in our lives. Literacy is a skill that can be learned at any age,and being a literate
person in today's society is advantageous. "Literacy Service through Online
Teaching" is the topic of today's seminar. For each course/department, a roll call
was taken. Following that, as is customary, we thank the lord for the day with a
prayer, which is followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the Lyceum
hymn.
”If you know the meaning of literate, then you should be proud of yourself”, our
guest speaker for today Ms. Helen Sanchez exclaimed as she begins to our main topic.
The purpose of this session is to address the question, "What is the value of nstp as a
future educator?" And it was said that LTS, which stands for literacy training service, will
assist us in developing our abilities and knowledge, particularly when it comes to dealing
with kids or youngsters. LTS is a superb way to help someone.
In relation to this, literacy is something that we should have since it allows us to

communicate and make sense of our world. Literacy and numeracy are both essential for
and engrained in our daily lives. The purpose, which is BUILD, EDUCAE, INSIRE, AND
EMPOWER, has also been provided to us and described, as well as the techniques to
encourage literacy growth. Overall, it was another day filled with information,
understanding, and wisdom that will undoubtedly benefit us as individuals. One statement
that stands out in my mind is " Choose where you can realize your ideals to be a citizen
playing significant role in making pour nation a better place for our generation”.

professor Mr. Kevin Villanueva, he’s nice and joker sometimes.

which did not get formal education is a great way to be of help in building our
nation. Is the foundation of all education. Ability to read, write, speak, spell,
grammar knowledge and ability to listen. In numeracy the ability to count, solve
problems, to make sense of time, numbers, patterns and shapes.

WEEK 1
REFLECTION:
The first day of the NSTP was the orientation. As all usual event, we started
it with opening remarks. Then all faculty members were introduced one by one.
Each of the faculty member shared us what they do in the school. They
shared different wisdoms we can use for our lives. Online protocols and etiquettes
were clearly explained to us. They showed us the upcoming programs and what
we should look forward to. And they told us about the activities we should
participate on.
The orientation ended with a closing remark. I did not expect it to go

perfectly because of our internet connection issues. Surprisingly, the whole
orientation went smoothly. Now I know who are the right persons that can assist
me whenever I need help. They were all kind and they made sure that we are
guided accordingly. I think the NSTP 2 may use my energy more than the NSTP
1.

The third day of NSTP is entitled as the "Urban Gardening" seminar. Our
guest speaker for this was Engr. Leonardo P. Bilazon. Ms. Analisa Alega did the
opening remarks with a prayer, national anthem and encourage us to sing for the
Lyceum hymn. Then she introduced us to our guest speaker to start his discussion.
It was started off with his impressive history. Then the guest speaker
discussed about the urban agriculture and the benefits of the plants. He tackled
about food and nutritional securities, environment quality, economic benefits, and
ecosystem services. He taught us how to create our garden soil and where to get
the seeds free of charge. He also taught us how to harvest seeds from vegetables
and how to store seeds for planting. He even showed us his progress with his
plants. Before ending, he accommodated a lot of people with their curious minds
about plants.
And the seminar ended with granting the kind guest speaker an award and
closing remarks. To be honest, I don't find plants interesting but I had a lot of fun
listening to this seminar. It changed the way of how I see plants. I learned a lot of
new things about gardening and I'm all ears when some people asked him
questions. After the seminar, I shared what I learned to my mother because she
does garden most of the time. Now I could understand why my mother love her
plants so much.

WEEK 5
REFLECTION:
The fourth day of our NSTP is about the "Power of faith" held by our guest
speaker Pastor Ronald Bertiz. Ms. Annalisa Alega is in charge of our opening
remarks which turned out great. It started off with the usual prayer, national anthem
and lyceum hymn.
Then we were introduced with our guest speaker and started our topic. He
told us about the four things that could help us have a conquerors mind. The first
is the to not accept thoughts failure. Second is to fill our minds with the words of
God. Third is to renew our mind. And the last is to have a spiritual mind. He
explained us the meaning and how we should do these 4 things. Along his
discussion, he shared different chapters and verses of the bible. He ended it with
his testimony, telling us how he's finishing college late and how he conquered
asthma with his faith for God.
We ended it with the usual award to express our gratitude for the guest
speaker, a beautiful song and closing remarks. I was silent throughout his whole
discussion. I'm just calm, listening and understanding his every word. Being
connected to God once in a while feels so great. This "Power of faith" seminar was
a great way to start my weekend.

WEEK 6
REFLECTION:
The fifth day of our NSTP was about "Pinoy Youth" held by our guest
speaker Ma'am Catherine Dela Torre. We did the usual opening remarks to start
the discussion.
Ma'am Catherine tackled a lot about Filipino children. She told us about the
sad reality of our social environment. She discussed about how Filipino youth view
things and our attitudes. It was not a lesson, what she did was more of a report
about sex in relation with the Filipino youths. She reported the statistics about aids,
abortion, family planning and more. She also included suicide and violence which
are commonly done by the youths. At the end of her report was the suggestions
on how we should resolve these issues.
We ended it with our closing remarks, certificate award and announcement

for the upcoming webinar. This webinar is good, it informs us about the reality of
Filipino teenagers. I did not enjoy this webinar that much because I always watch
this in documentaries and the suggestions from the last slides are the common
suggestions you see on social media platforms. But it is very informative, clean
presentation and the words used were on point.

WEEK 7
REFLECTION:
The sixth day of our NSTP was about "Creative Filipino". We started with
the opening prayer held by Ma'am Alyssa Mae Perera. Ma'am Jasmin Bertiz did
the opening remarks and we started the discussion with Ma'am Helen Sanchez.
First, she discussed about the meaning of creativity and their values.
Creativity can be produced by your vision, idea, mind, knowledge, imagination and
more. She also discussed about the benefits of creativity. She said it can helps
find a new alternative to make money or how to see problems as opportunities.
Then she told us about recycling, with this are reduce and reuse methods. Then
she showed us samples related to the three methods. And then, Sir Kevin showed
a video on how to make magazine papers as a coaster,
picture frames etc.
We ended it with the closing remarks,

announcements and photo with the students. This
webinar is pretty good because I get to do what is shown
in the video. Finally, I can do something with the old
magazines in our house. It is good for the mental and
emotional health to do arts and crafts once in a while.

REFLECTION:
On this day, we discussed about Patriotism. We started the webinar with

the usual opening remarks. And each faculty member presented their works for
today's topic.
We started with a song that shows how proper and lawful a Filipino is. Then
we proceeded with the definition of "Patriotism". This word was explained
accurately by the presenter. After that, we go to the characteristics of a Filipino
Patriots. Showed in this presentation are the Filipino ways to show love for the
country. We respect the flag, support our local products, value traditions,
knowledge with Philippine history and more.
After the discussion, we ended with the words of

Andres Bonifacio. "Ibigin mo ang iyong bayan nang sunod
kay bathala, sa iyong kapurihan at higit sa lahat, sa iyong
sarili". And they did their announcement for the upcoming
webinars and gave an activity. I did a poster of a sun with
the Philippine flag inside. The poster has a baybayin
words of "Pilipino Ako" to show how proud I am being a
Filipino citizen.

REFLECTION:
On this day, we did not attend to any online meeting. Our instructor just
gave us something to do. The work is to capture a photo or video that shows how
our (Filipino) household is productive on this day.
My mother was busy with preparing foods for lunch. My father was busy
washing his motorcycle. So, to do this activity, I just asked my sister for help.
Luckily, she helped me and we had fun. She helped me clean our bed at the
morning. I helped her do our laundry. And she helped me wash our dishes after
lunch. It was well productive indeed.
We ended the day with our usual movie bonding

time. We did not use any mobile devices and my
parents were not busy with their works so we enjoyed
the time watching a new movie while snacking with
them.

Today we learned about the "Literacy Training Service". We did our

opening remarks quickly but lively.
We started with the objectives of this service which is to build, educate,

inspire and empower. Then we go to the definition of literacy. It is the ability to
read, write, speak, spell or listen. In all descriptions, it is the ability to
communicate. Then we go through the definition of numeracy. It is the ability to
analyze, count or solve patterns, shapes, numbers or problems. In all
descriptions, it is the ability to use the mathematics efficiently. Then we were
given ways on the development of literacy to an individual. These are to
encourage reading, discuss texts we read, to use the library often and more.

REFLECTION:
It was observed being practiced in the cities of Las Piñas, Parañaque,

Pasay, Quezon City and in the cities in other parts of the country. It became a
national program in 1998 when Acting Agriculture Secretary William Dar instructed
then Region IV Director Conrado Gonzales to include urban agriculture as one of
the programs of the Department of Agriculture in Region IV.
I learned in the meeting there has four Home Gardens and Urban
Agriculture is Food Nutrition Security,Environment Quality, Economic Benefits,
Ecosystem Services. I learned to how to started the urban agriculture by Find
appropriate trainig, Make a business plan, Find a place where it can be done, Test
the soil,Study the first steps of planting,maintaining and harvesting plants. And I
learned to how to create garden soil first you need to do is Garden your soil mix
ingredients,Second is Mixed one part of each soil ingredients, third is place the
mixture in containers or put it in raised bed. And I learned how to harvest seeds
from vegetables for eggplant first will do is select a dried eggplant second is slightly
massage the fruit to loosen the seeds. Third Cut the middle part of the fruit,Fourth
is scoop the seeds from the fruit, last is perform water test on seeds to know if they
are viable.And the how to store seed for
planting. And lastly the points to remember
when using sealed containers.

Having a Conqueror’s Mind discussed by Ptr. Roland J. Beatriz Senior

Pastor of The Lord Is Our Righteousness Church and he explained the verse in
Numbers 13-30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses and Said, We must
go up and take possession of the land for we can certainly conquer it!” Caleb knew
that with God on his side he would be victorious in the battle. He is righteous men
understood God’s intent for the clearing of the land to be cooperative effort
between God and Israel.

resisting moving forward

like majority of Virginity and increasing tolerance for women engaging in premarital
sex,talking against abortion,Sexual, Non-Sexual and Multiple Risk Behaviors
Premarital,Homosexual Sex Emerging,Getting Concerned about the Reproductive
Health of the Youth, Sexual, Non-Sexual and Multiple Risk Behaviors like
smoking, drinking,drug abuse,risk-taking behavior are interlinked, What More We
need to do a growing number of youths are engaging in risky behaviors without

I learned that youth can play important role in the development of society.
Educated youth is unemployed, they are unable to participate in the country's

REFLECTION: The Importance of Recycled Materials because the Reusing

disposable water bottles eliminates the need for fresh bottles made from pure
petroleum resin, resulting in fewer trash in landfills, lakes, and parks. Reusing
plastic bottles will reduce waste, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy use
significantly.
Why I choose recycled bottle in Flower Vase and planting tree because it gives
me happiness and Flowers have a long-term mood-lifting influence. Having flowers
in my home it increased my happiness, reduces depression and anxiety and
actually can increase emotional contact with friends and family.

REFLECTION:
The flag is the country’s most cherished symbol.It is the nation’s emblem
for freedom. It symbolizes patriotism,love of country and sense of nationhood and
embodies the aspirations and sentiments of the filipino people in their unceasing
quest for independence. It stands as instrument of unity that binds the Filipino
people.
The Philippine flag stood as witness to the glorious evens of our history. It
encountered the most significant events of our history. It encountered the most
significant events in the Filipino’s struggle for freedom. And since it symbolizes our
ideals and sentiments as a nation, it deserves to be treated with solemnity and

REFLECTION:
I learned about the importance of NSTP as a future Educator because it

aims to promote and integrate values education transformational leadership,spirit
of patriotism and nationalism and substainable social mobilization for youth
development,community building and national security.
LTS is the one of the program components of NSTP that focuses on training
students with skills and potentials in teaching literacy and numeracy. It aims to
strengthen the knowledge,skills, and values of the future educators to be used not
only in the field of teaching, but also in volunteering to teach literacy and numeracy
to young ones,out of the school-youth and indigenous children. LTS where you
can realize your ideas to be a citizen playing a significant role in making our nation
a better place for our generation. And we have the four literacy service off teaching
is build,educate,insipire,empower.The literacy and numeracy are essential for our
education. Literacy and numeracy are crucial for and embedded in our everyday
life activities. Literacy development should be a combined effort between home
and school. Here are a few things you can do to support early learners literacy
skills.
Enccourage reading-reading is the pillar of literacy so encourage young

learners to immerse themselves in it frequently and deeply. This should involve
exposure to a broad variety of different genres such as newspapers, novels,
comics,magazines, films, reference material and websites. Discuss texts together

Actively discussing what has been read encourages learners to make connections
and think deeply about the ideas contained in texts.Follow up the reading or
viewing of a text with a discussion of what it made learners think and feel. Use

ultimate goal of literacy instruction is to build a student's comprehension, writing skills,
and overall skills in communication. Students need literacy in order to engage with the
written word in everyday life. Think of how often you use your own reading skills in
everyday life. It’s not just articles like this one that require literacy, but signs, labels, and
the messages on your phone, too. The same goes for writing. Nowadays, even phone
calls have given way to instant messaging and text-based communication, making the
ability to read all the more important. But beyond the functional level, literacy plays a vital
role in transforming students into socially engaged citizens. Being able to read and write

REFLECTION :
The activity held last March 13, 2021 via Google Meet.
Of what I have expected is that there’s a lot of attendees from different courses like BSED,
BSIT, BSA and more. I saw different teachers here in the orientation and I guess they are
kind to their students.
The orientation began with the prayer and singing of our National
Anthem. After doing that, there’s a speaker who introduced the faculty staffs members to
us and yes it was so fascinating. I feel excited because I want to saw them in personal
and also to greet them in school. But, we all know that it is pandemic and we have to cope
with the “New Normal” thing. Therefore, I wish that this pandemic will end soon.
However, there’s one presenter who present a nice PowerPoint
to us in order to explain of what the subject is all about.
I’m in a grateful and happy condition because in this orientation I
learned a lot of things that will help my self to be more responsible in serving our country

URBAN GRADENING
REFLECTION:
Hooray! It is the Week 3 and it is all about the Urban Gardening. Interesting,
huh? Ms. Jasmin Bertiz held the prayer for us and after that Ms. Annaliza Alega starts the
opening remarks. And the speaker for today’s orientation is Engr. Leonardo Bilazon.
Engr. Bilazon explains to us of what the Urban Gardening is all about and
also what is the purpose of it in our Urban. He also explains that there are 4 important
categories or benefits: food and national security, environmental quality, economic
benefits, and ecosystem services.
Overall, it was so fascinating that we learned so much things here in

today’s orientation. Nowadays, we all know that plants are very popular in this year’s trend.
Because of pandemic, many plantitos and plantitas are interested in plants. In closing
remarks, Ms. Joan Pingkisan are assigned to this.

OMG! In today’s program is all about the faith. Very exciting because even
if I’m not a religious person but duh I pray every night to the safety of all people in this
world.
Ms. Jasmin Bertiz began to speak of what is the program all about.
Additionally, Ms. Bertiz is my student-teacher when I was in Grade 10 in Araling
Panlipunan subject. She introduced her dad which is the speaker for today.
Pastor Ronald Bertiz is the speaker for today. He explains what is faith all
about. Faith can change everything. Give your trust to God and He will amazed you with
His powers. He also explained the importance of a having a conquer mind. Having a failure
in life is not all about the weakness of yourself but it serves as the lesson or inspiration to
you.
The importance of this orientation is that Faith is the most powerful of all.
It makes me feel so special that I have Him as my daily savior. Always remember that,
praying is important to us. Let’s give Him a minute to talk to him.

REFLECTION:
This program held at 10 AM and it started by Ms. Jasmin Bertiz followed

by singing the National Anthem and LOA Hymn. Mr. Kevin Villanueva start to speak for
the opening remarks, he also introduced Mrs. Catherine Dela Torre as the speaker for
today’s program.
Mrs. Dela Torre also introduced herself to the class and she shared a
power point named “Pinoy Youth.” It is interesting to listen in today’s program because it
has a benefits for some youth like me. There’s a saying that “Kabataan ang pag-asa ng
bayan” but sometimes I don’t believe in this phrase. Some youth didn’t know their
responsibilities to their parents. Youth is a stage where you can enjoy some things that
you don’t do when you are in a child stage.
Overall, I am amazed of what Mrs. Dela Torre said in today’s program about
the importance of the youth. Always remember that you should know your responsibilities
as a youth.

REFLECTION:
In today’s program is all about the creativity of every filipino. It started with
the prayer by Ms. Jasmin Bertiz followed by Mr. Kevin for the National Anthem and Lyceum
Hymn. The speaker of the day is Mrs. Helen Sanchez.
This lesson tackles about being resourceful of every filipino. Creativity is the
ability of a person to make something new and useful or valuable. It all happens in the
area of life such as art, music literature and science. They are so many things or benefits
that we can get from being resourceful such as it helps us to think widely. It help us to
make money and also to be productive. Additionally, being creative can give us motivation
and knowledge. Recycling is important because it prevents pollution, saves energy, and
avoid green house gas. RRR stands for REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.
Overall, this program helps me a lot to be resourceful and creative. I know

that it will help me to be productive and help me to be the “idea person.” Lastly, creativity

REFLECTION :
We start a program by praising a God, followed by singing our National anthem,

and the Lyceum hymn. We were start our program by introducing our faculty and
professors and other staff and instructors who make up the NSTP family.
They gave some of information to other student who have a concerns. And they
also showing a pictures of the services.
To attend this orientation was such an incredible experience. Because it helps

me to build friendships and helps me also to be a better student. Our faculty was such
an amazing professors also. Every time he begin he's class, he always brings amazing
tricks in order to make the class happy and jolly.
NSTP 2 is a great opportunity to help other people and to enjoy at the

URBAN GRADENING
REFLECTION:
The Program starts at 9:00am. First of all, My expectations to the outreach

program are, first, I expect that my classmate will be cooperative. That they would be
responsible enough in doing their assigned duties and tasks. I also hope that their motive
of participating in the program is not because it is required to pass this subject but to help
those unfortunate children in our City.
Second, I expect that I could sustain the proper teachings that could help more the
child in his/ her learning. Lastly. I expect that when we will go their, there will be smiles in
our hearts.
The “Urban Gardening” which is discussed by Engr. Leonardo P. Bilazon. He

tuckled the concept of urban agriculture and its History. And he also said that urban
agriculture provides the population with fresh food, constructs green zones, recycles
municipal waste and strengthens cities against climate change.
He gave us some of the ideas on how to make sure or how to keep our plants
healthy and some of students and even our professors they had the opportunity to ask
questions Mr. Bilazon like “how to harvest properly”
It’s so much fun to have knowledge about urban gardening and how to keep it well
and healthy, how to take care of it properly.

REFLECTION:
In this Program, I’m so glad to know that were having a event like this title of “The
Power of Faith” It is more exciting because you may hear the word of God again especially
since we need him more now, we need his presence because we are experiencing a
pandemic.
The event starts at 10am. We began with a prayer, followed by the National
anthem, and the lyceum hymn. Ms. Alega with her opening remarks she welcome all
attendees and all faculty and professors and also staffs.
And then after that we went to the main topic with Pastor Ronald Bertiz as our
guest for that day. He concluded his lecture by sharing testimonies and also he shared
with us the challenges he went through and he was able to overcome because of god's
help..He said that if you believe in him and you have a lot of trust in him, no matter what
challenge you go through in your life, you can overcome it because you believe in him and
you trust him.
Pastor said. He knows the desires of your heart. If you trust in him with the things
that you want most, he will take care of it. He knows what is best for your life. If you feel
like your goals are hard to achieve or even impossible, think again. Anything is possible
with God. He has your back and will help you through anything, all you have to do is have
faith.
I learned so much at that time and it was so comforting and heartwarming to hear
the words of God.

REFLECTION:
On this day, We start a program by praising a God, followed by our national

anthem, and lyceum hymn. We received an inspirational message from Mr. Kevin
Villanueva before we start our program. Afterwards Ms. Sheila joy Reyes introduce our
guest for today which is Mrs. Catherine Dela torre.
The Program was start with the topic of “The Importance of the Youth” she asked
us if we were Pinoy Youth she wanted us to type “I am pinoy youth” and the topic goes on
she discuss why the youth are an important development concern, the socio-demographic
profile, social environment, youth and parental perception, sexual and non-sexual and
multiple risk behavior and even our responsibility and our hope and the Premarital sex
(PMS). Around 23% or 2 of 10 filipino youth had premarital sex in 2002. Almost all 94%
who already had sex said that they were unwilling and unprepared to become a parents.
Average age of initiation to sex is 17.5 years old. Premarital sex is a huge problem in
society today. People everywhere are not waiting until they get married to have sex.
People having sex today are not aware of the consequences that come with having sex.
They just think it is fun and there are nothing other than fun comes with having sex.
She also discussed the consequences that come with having sex, such as A.I.D.S.
This is a deadly virus that kills ones immune system. A person never dies from the actual
virus. They die from the diseases that they would not have otherwise contracted if they
still had a strong immune system. The immune system doesn’t die slowly either it take at
least five years for the immune system to eventually give out. A person can die from a
simple cold if they have contracted the A.I.D.S virus.

REFLECTION: “PAPER FLOWER AND BUTTERFLY CHANDELIER” from

alambre, my old colored paper and used glue.
We Filipinos are known for our positive outlook in life despite the
many obstacles we encounter. One reason for this attitude is that
we possess talents that help us face our own problems confidently.
We are able to improvise and utilize scarps and discarded materials in order to come up
with innovative devices or inventions. But the most responsible for this optimism is our
creativity. Creativity refers to the ability to see things in new and unusual ways, and
therefore the individual allows coming up with ideas that no one lese sees. The key is to
transform creative potentials into productivity which results to discoveries, initiatives and
other unique and novel products. Still, to be truly creative, one needs to be focused on
specific personal and national goals. Without these, there would be no reason for one to
put one’s creative ability to work. In other words we need the kind of motivation that would
push us to do what we should do. We are truly a creative people.

This is my Family. This picture was taken last year, My mom is OFW. Since we
have pandemic we are not complete and we are no longer able to bond, I miss the times
we had fun together, the time we are complete. I miss them so much.
Spending time with family is one of the best ways to create memorable
experiences. Nothing can replace the time you spend with your family. This is especially
true if you have siblings. Especially with my mom there’s a good chance that you already

REFLECTION:
Selling and growing different types of plants became a trend here in our
country. Ever since the pandemic started people become fascinated in plants and some
of them make it as a business.
In today’s program entitled The Urban Gardening. The orientation started

at 9:00 in the morning. We began our program with an opening prayer led by Ms. Jasmin
Bertiz along with the national anthem and lyceum hymn. The opening remarks is led by
Ms. Analisa Alega the NSTP Directress.
We go now to our main topic which is the Urban Gardening that discussed
by our guest speaker Engr. Leonardo Villason. He discussed to us what is the Urban
Gardening, the History and the benefits.
He also discussed the four benefits of the home garden and urban
agriculture namely the food and nutritional security, environment quality, economic
benefits and the ecosystem services. He also tackled on how to create garden soil.
Overall, I learned quite a lot in this program because some of them I am not
familiar with and I know I will be able to use it in the future.

In today’s program which entitled ‘The Power of Faith’. The program

started at 10:00 in the morning and personally, I am looking forward on this week
orientation.
The program began by the opening prayer led by Ms. Jasmin Bertiz
along with the singing of the National Anthem and lyceum hymn. Follow by the opening
remarks led by Ms. Annalisa Alega, The NSTP Directress.
After that, we went on our topic. Our guest speaker is Pastor Ronald
Bertiz, father of Ms. Jasmin Bertiz. He changed the topic in today’s orientation which is
now “The Conquer Mind”. He gives/shows to us the Four statements; Do not accept
thoughts of failure, Filll your mind with the word of God, renew your mind and lastly have
spiritual mind.
He also gives us inspirational words and the story of his own challenges
in life. It kind of touched my heart because we all have our own battles and we can win all
of those because God knows that we can, that is the reason why he gives those challenges
to us in the first place. We just have to believe and have faith with
God.
After the orientation, we did a waterfall activity in

which all us will share on what we have learned throughout the
program.

In today’s program Ms. Sanchez tackled and shows how creative

filipino are. We always find a way to solve any kinds of problems that comes along our
way, whether you have a problem about having a lot of papers lying around your house
or any bottles that you do not know how to dispose. There are plenty ways how to make
your trash into something useful.
After the discussion they gave us an activity to make whatever we want

from the things that can be recyclable. I chose vase made out from used papers because
I have a ton of paper just lying around the house. I am so happy how the paper vase
turned out and I am so proud of myself.

On this day Mar 27, 2021 We attended a webinar about urban gardening. I
learned a lot of the discussion they talk about the Urban gardening which where
it`s all about gardening and about providing food to the urban areas but I learn that
if you want to get started with urban agriculture you need to find appropriate
training and make a business plan. The guest speaker Mr. Leo an Agricultural
Engineer taught us how to harvest seeds, how to perform water test, how to store
seeds for planting, points to remember when using sealed containers, and he then
entertained student's and teacher's questions.

REFLECTION:
The NSTP General Orientation was held on 13th of March 2021. On the first
week of our NSTP the event started at prayer which is held by our instructor and it
was followed by singing our National Anthem. Since we all know that we are still
under GCQ due to the Pandemic, the program held virtually. As the program starts
the instructors introduced their self to us and to the professors who is part of NSTP,
which was useful because we knew how and when to contact them if we needed
assistance. They also present us a PowerPoint presentation shows some activities
and services that was created by NSTP professors and students. Even though this
event conducted virtually the instructors NSTP Professors did a great job on
showing us what is the importance of this subject and by doing the orientation
successfully.

REFLECTION:
Because of the Pandemic, everyone was thinking and encouraged to be

what you called “Plantito/Pantita”. So, on this week we conducted a program which
is Urban Gardening and discussed by Engr. Leonardo P. Bilanzon. He discussed
the four benefits of urban gardening which is food and nutritional security,
environmental quality, economics benefits and ecosystem service. This Program
can help us if we are planning to start an urban gardening because Engr. Leonardo
P. Bilanzon also discussed “how do we get started with urban agriculture”, “how to
create a garden soil”, “how to harvest seeds from vegetables” and also “how to
store seeds for planting” this will serve as a guide to the person who is planning to
do urban gardening.
And the seminar ended with granting the kind guest speaker an award and
closing remarks. To be honest, I find plants interesting specially my mom loves
collecting and taking care of plants so I had a lot of fun listening to this seminar. It
changed the way of how I see plants. I learned a lot of new things about gardening
and I'm all ears when some people asked him questions. After the seminar, I
shared what I learned to my mother because she does garden most of the time.
Now I could understand why my mother love her plants so much and I even
thinking to collect and take care plants as well.

followed by singing the National Anthem and the Lyceum hymn. As our guest
started Pastor Ronald Bertiz shares us some words of God and also, he gave us
four statements the first one is to do not accept thoughts of failure, fill your mind
with the word of God, renew your mind and lastly have a spiritual mind. Every time
Pastor Ronald discussed these four statements he always reminds and share
something which is good for us because we will learn a lot from it.
What I love about this topic specially this pandemic, it helps most of us even
those people who doesn’t want to talk about it to know the status on their mental
health. We all know that because of this pandemic there is a lot of changes
happened. Not just for us students but each of us in this world are affected. From
school to work to even business owners are affected. Everyone is struggling how
will survive in a day-to-day basis. So, this topic really is an eye opener for
everyone.
That’s why FAITH is very powerful, because if you have FAITH in God you
don’t have to worry. All you have to do is do your thing, believe and have faith in
God. Everything happens in this world has a good reason.

guest speaker of today’s webinar which is Prof. Catherine Dela Torre. The aim of
this webinar is to get some advice that will support us through this difficult period.
Ms. Catherine Dela Torre is the speaker at today's session. "We have to recognize
and be responsible as a youth because youth are the hope of the country," as what
she said. Our guest speaker presents as a ppt presentation containing some
certain decision of the youth now a days. One of the topics that we encounter is
about Pre-Marital Sex which is some of the youths are involved to this situation.
Even though this topic is sensitive our guest speaker discussed it properly by
showing us some research that is all facts which may help to the youth like me.
And also, she gave us some advice on what we need to do. What I have learned
on today’s webinar is as a youth we have to think wisely and carefully on what the
consequences are to have a brighter future.
The Impact statement that I won’t forget that Prof. Dela Torre said was that
we should take care of our own lives in order to brighten our future. everyone may

For today’s topic, the NSTP was about "Creative Filipino". As usual, same
routine as the previous program the webinar starts with a prayer held by Ma'am
Alyssa Mae Perera. Ma'am Jasmin Bertiz did the opening remarks and we started
the discussion with Ma'am Helen Sanchez.
After that they have discussed the meaning of creativity and their values.
Creativity can be produced by your vision, idea, mind, knowledge, imagination and
more. She also discussed about the benefits of creativity. This lesson tackles about
being resourceful of every Filipino. Creativity is the ability of a person to make
something new and useful or valuable. Recycling is important because it prevents
pollution, saves energy, and avoid greenhouse gas’
I Chose the Egg Mosaic because if you don’t know, selling eggs per tray is one of
our business since the pandemic. So, it gives me an idea to be creative by recycling our
used egg shell in our house.

For this topic, we tackled about Patriotism. Like the previous programs the
webinar starts with a prayer and with or National Anthem and to officially start the
discussion they played a song that shows how proper and lawful a Filipino is.
After that, we proceeded with the definition of "Patriotism". Patriotism or

national pride is the feeling of love, devotion, and sense of attachment to a
homeland and alliance with other citizens who share the same sentiment. Then
we go to the characteristics of a Filipino Patriots. Showed in this presentation are
the Filipino ways to show love for the country. We respect the flag, support our
local products, value traditions, knowledge with Philippine history and more. It also
discussed there about how we should support our own blood. We should patronize
and support our own products. Respect should always there as well. It s really
proud to be a Filipino in all aspects.

For today’s task, we did not meet on our NSTP because our professors
gave us a time to be productive with our family. And they told us to take a picture
with our family. To be honest my Family is very important to me. Specially I am an
only child so, me and my parents bonds a lot. Sunday is really a Family Day for
us. My Parents used to work from Mondays to Fridays. So, weekend is really our
day. Mostly we go out on Sunday to go to church, visit my grandmother in Cavite
afterwards then Eat and have quality time with them.

REFLECTION:
For this seminar we learned about the "Literacy Training Service". We

started the webinar same as the previous webinars and after that they introduced
as the guest speaker for the webinar. Then we go to the definition of literacy. It is
the ability to read, write, speak, spell or listen. In all descriptions, it is the ability to
communicate. Literacy Training Service (LTS) is a component of NSTP that
focuses on training students to become teachers of reading-writing literacy and
numeracy to children, out-of-school youth, and other segments of society.
What I have learned in this topic is how Important Literacy is. Literacy skills
help us understand context and meaning in the written word. It helps us achieve
higher-level thinking and helps us to make sense of the world around us. It helps
us to solve problems and reach for goals and to improve. It is the ability to use

WEEK 1
REFLECTION:
Today is March 13. This is the day of our Orientation. The 1st day where we
meet our professors. The day of our NSTP General Orientation.
The meeting started with the prayer and singing of our national anthem. Then
followed by the introduction of the speaker, faculty members and all of the
participants of the orientation including the students from different courses.
Many students got attended and I am so grateful that I’m one of them. At
first, I was a little bit nervous because I’m thinking that some of them (professors)
are strict and not capable to the students, but I’m wrong they are all approachable
and I’m glad to meet them all.
While listening, I felt like happy because there is some realization that comes
into my mind. I realized how important this subject to all of us, especially when it
comes to the positive attitude of a person or one individual.
I learned many things in this orientation. I learned a lot of things and knowledge
that can help me to be more responsible. One thing that I would never forget to
this “NSTP GENERAL ORIENTATION” is the realization of how important this
subject to discipline a person.

WEEK 3
URBAN GARDENING
We all know that plants are super in nowadays so today should be the
beautiful day for everyone especially for those people who love plants to hear
about the tips how to do an urban gardening inside or outside our house.
So today, I just want to share the knowledge that I learned from our speaker by
writing on my reflection so it should be the sign of my gratitude and thankfulness
for his wonderful sharing about the things that he knew. So, let’s start by giving its
meaning. Urban is a practice of cultivating. If you know how to proper cultivate the
soil, the outcome of your project or the plants that you plant should be beautiful.
To get started with urban agriculture we need to have some reminders that
need to do and put in our mind. We need to have training, business plan, materials
and place where it so perfect to start. It is also important to test the soil first, to
know if how many fertilizers you can put, so it can grow healthy and faster. You
also need to gather first the soil ingredients that is needed to create garden soil
included the dried leaves, dry manure not included the dog, cat, pig and dove
because their manure is so dirty. And don’t forget to always use the dry soil than
sticky because it is more efficient to use so when it grew up, the roots of your plants
is very well healthy.
And after learning and knowing it all you can now start urban gardening and gain
such benefits that can help our community; benefits such as National and Food
Security, Enhancement of the Environment Quality, Economic benefits that create
local employment and also the Ecosystem Services.

After hearing the topic conquerors mind from the seminar discussed by Pastor
Bertiz I learned how importance the positivity in life and faith in our God. Positivity
is very important because it give us better understanding in life. And faith is
important despite of the struggles that we had. Even in times of failure. Our faith
should always be on us. Because faith strengthens us in every struggles that we’ve
done. We should always remember that nobody is born to fail. We born to be
successful in life. We born to live with happiness in our life. And we born to have
faith in our god.
To have a faith in our god we should have happiness and gratefulness in our heart
because we cannot have the power of faith when our hearts and mind is full of sadness
and anger.
We should put in our mind that life is too short for negative thoughts. Because if God
has many problems and he is not tired facing it we should also be like him. Because who
we are to be tired. If God is not tired for us. Who we are to stop if God is not stopping to
love us.
If God is always there for us. So, we should always be at his side. Because God is not
tired in helping and comforting us, facing the problem that we have. Because for him even
though there is no way to solve such a problem. He will make a way. Because nothing is
impossible with God.
So, if God is willing to fight for us. We should also be brave and fight for our life and
avoid negativity and negative people and have a spiritual mind. Do not accept thoughts of

CREATIVE FILIPINO
We all know that all of Filipino is Creative and have an ability to make. But we have
different ways on how to show it. Being creative is not only about art but it is also about
your ability to recognized ideas, and make some useful products and things from a
recycled material.
To be creative you don't need much of money we just only need a creative mind that
we can use to make a creative art. Because the important thing of being a creative is
ourself. Be yourself, believe in your ability and trust in whatever decision you make
because that's the thing can make your things creative. Ourself that knows how to give
importance and value everything that we can see in our surroundings, ourself that full of
positivity that we can make a beautiful and outstanding one, and ourself that have a huge
ideas and broad mind in imagining a beautiful thing that we can make.
But there's a but in it, we should always remember that being creative does not only
mean that your project should be beautiful. The meaning that you want to convey is more
important to it. Maybe, it should an art that full of colors, design, and something else, but

Today is Saturday and we supposed to have a meeting about the topic

Productive day with our family but it was cancelled so our Prof. told us and
assigned us to take a pic. of our quality time and send it to our gc so that it will

Some of my classmates send a picture and some of them send a video of their
bonding. But I much prefer to send a pic with my family so that I can print it and
put it on a frame and put it on a wall so that whenever I look at it, it can remind me

It is another great day because today we tackled the Literacy Service through online
teaching which is the last topic for our nstp narrative report and reflection. At first Ma’am
Helen look back and remind us the importance of the Nstp. The importance of it to the
future educator, the importance of it in every member of our society.
NSTP is very important to the future educator like us because through it people
becomes a good member of our society in transforms of leadership, in a simple kind of
things. This promote the spirit of patriotism which is the “MAKATAO, MAKABAYAN,
MAKABANSA” same with nationalism and sustainable social mobilization for youth
development so that we can be guided to achieve our objectives, aims and goals in life
that can lead us to a brighter future and a secure one.
Literacy Service Training also known as LTS is one of the program components of
Nstp. It comes from the word literate meaning you have knowledge and knowing’s in one
certain thing or idea, you are able to read and write, you are educated in a specific area.
And this focuses on training students with skills and potentials in teaching literacy and
numeracy.
This component LTS, aims to strengthen our knowledge, ability and values that can we

REFLECTION:
The meeting started with the prayer and Ms. Jasmin Bertiz is the one who leads
the prayer and followed by singing our National Anthem and Lyceum Hymn. And then, Ms.
Annalisa Alega is the one who introduced our topic which is the urban gardening and she
introduced us the guest speaker who is Mr. Leonardo Bilazon.
Mr. Leonardo Bilazon discussed what is urban agriculture and why is it important.
He discussed the history of an urban agriculture and he said that it was observed being
practiced in the cities of Las Pinas, Paranaque, Pasay, Quezon City and in the cities in
other parts of the country.
Urban Agriculture are practices in cultivating, processing and distributing food in

or around urban areas and these are the activities of selling vegetables to be processed.
This kind of webinar, individuals and organizations are engaged in urban agriculture to
achieve a range of lofty private and public goals: to improve their own health and economic
situation, to improve food access in their communities.
I was happy and also thankful to Mr. Leonardo Bilazon

because he taught us how to plant properly. He also discussed
how to create garden soil, how to harvest seeds from vegetables,
and how to store seeds for planting. We know that many of us
are happy because we found out the best way of planting.

about. She introduced the guest speaker for today which is her dad and he is Ptr. Ronald
J. Bertiz and he introduced himself. After that, Ptr. Ronald Bertiz shared us the word of
God.
This webinar is all about the Power of Faith and they said that the all colleges is
required to attend this kind of webinar to strengthens the faith of every students and to
hear the word of God. Faith to believe God’s word is the very essence of receiving the
promises that he says we can have. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of
God gives us knowledge on how faith comes, by taking in God’s word.
The importance is having faith is having trust.

You have to trust with your entire being that God has
your back that he will help you to take care of you. He
knows what is best, but to truly embrace what he has
planned for you, you have to fully trust.

is up to Filipinos to be creative and resourceful. She discussed that the creativity is the

recyclable materials. After i do that, i was happy because I did the popsicle stick pen holder

Ms. Helen Z. Sanchez is the guest speaker for today and she is the one of the
NSTP faculty members. She discussed what the Literacy is and the importance of
Literacy. Literacy Training Service or LTS is one of the program of NSTP that focuses on

REFLECTION:
Urban farming has much to offer in the wake of the pandemic. It could
help communities boost the resilience of their fresh fruit and vegetable supplies,
improve the health of residents and help them lead more sustainable lifestyles.
The program began at 9:00 am, Engr. Leonardo P. Bilazon is the one who
discussed about Urban Gardening and what are the helps of urban gardening in
our lifestyle during this pandemic.
All students learned a lot because they given a chance to ask a question
about urban gardening.

WEEK 1
REFLECTION:
The orientation was started with a prayer and the national anthem followed
by short speech of the Chief Registrar and NSTP Director Ms. Annalisa A. Alega.
She also takes a recap about the 3 components of NSTP which the CWTS, ROTC
and LTS and the importance of the NSTP which the Community Service. In this
Orientation, was introduction and also an explanation how NSTP work and should
be taken. Ms. Alega just not speech but a motivation for us students to be better
person. Aside from Ms. Alega, the faculty members were also introduced. They
give advice to be updated, productive in school and also to strive in life.
They introduce the courses that offered in Lyceum of Alabang. in general
orientation the components were also explain. How NSTP trainees play role in the
community emersion. The NSTP 2 was the application of NSTP 1 topics. Then Mr.
Kevin explain the activities that will be held through internet, with different teachers
and guess speaker from the start of this semester up till the end of semester. Ms.

URBAN GRADENING
REFLECTION:
In week 3, the webinar was entitled Urban Gardening. The program starts
with a prayer by Ms. Jasmine D. Bertiz followed by National Anthem and Lyceum
Hymn. The opening remarks was held by Ms. Annalisa A. Alega which also give
short description of Urban Gardening. The guest speaker is Eng. Leonardo P.
Bilazon, he discussed what is urban gardening from the history of it that has been
national program in 1998 that been practiced in the Cities like Muntinlupa City,
what is Urban Agriculture? According to Eng. Bilazon it was practice of cultivating,
processing, and distributing food in or around urban areas. He also discussed the
four benefits of home garden and urban agriculture, those four were food and
nutritional security, environment quality, economic benefits and ecosystem
services. He showed some picture of the urban gardening in some buildings.
Eng. Bilzon also gave steps on how to start urban agriculture from training,
investment in tools, plan, place, testing soil, especially studying planting,
maintaining and harvesting plants and to ensure food safety. He also teaches how
to create garden soil (ingredients: dry leaves, dry manure, soil), how to harvest
seeds from vegetable, storing of seed for planting. In the closing of the seminar
Eng. Bilazon gave taking care of herbs and about fertilizer. The closing remark
was given by Ms. Pingkisan.

REFLECTION:
In week 5, the webinar entitled “The power of faith” by Pastor Bertiz. It was
a great webinar. It made me open my mind more on how to cope up in every
situation I will encounter or what I am encountering right now. The main topic on
this webinar is “Having a conqueror’s mind”. We us human and servants of God,
we must not accept the thought of failure. We must seek for the success and even
we fail it must be a motivation to move forward. And also we must fill our minds
with the word of God. Pastor Bertiz also said that” ang pananampalatay ay bunga
ng pakikinig”, as person who believe in God we have souls that should also eat
and the food it need is the word of God. Always be on the positive thinking. Renew
our mind was one of the topic, but we can renew depends on how we set our
minds. And especially, have spiritual mind.
We cannot do all thing is we don’t have God in our lives. He is our savior;
he knew all things in our lives. We must surrender to him and be his servant. Forget
the worldly deeds but think on how great is our God.
After that wonderful topic. Pastor gave a short testimony about how great
God in his life. And a prayer as his closing remarks in his preaching. In conclusion
on this reflection I must say that “Nothing is impossible with God.”

REFLECTION:
This week’s Webinar, start as normal like the previous webinars conducted.
Prayer, National Anthem, Lyceum Hymn and the opening remarks given by Mr.
Villanueva. Also introducing the guest’s speaker none other than Prof. Catherine
Dela Torre. The topic that talk of the day was “The Importance of Youth”.
To be honest the presentation of power point was off a bit compare to the
phase of speaking of Prof. Dela Torre that is why I was a bit confuse on what or
where she was at. But there is one specific topic that have caught my attention,
the topic about Pre-Marital Sex. I, myself know that this thing was really happening
because I knew someone not only one but a few young people who engaged in
this that result to teenage pregnancy. Some have an abundant life but some have
not. The way our guest speaker talk about it was not offensive way but really an
educational. She gave some point on what is do’s and don’ts which beneficial to
me and my fellow young people. I’m quite impressed how good that webinar goes,
even Prof. Dela Torre was in different place.
To sum it up, week 6 webinar youth must not make unnecessary things in
life. The process may be planned but the outcome of our own doing is not always
in our favor. As Dr. Jose Rizal as one of our national hero said “Kabataan ang pag-
asa ng bayan”.

WEEK 7
REFLECTION:
The webinar entitled “Creative Filipino” starts with acknowledging every

colleges of Lyceum of Alabang by Ms. Pangkisan. It was followed by Opening
Prayer lead by Ms. Perera and Philippine Anthem as well as the Lyceum Hymn.
The opening remarks was delivered by Ms. Bertiz she asks if the if I believe if
Filipino is creative and as a Filipino I do believed in that because it was natural in
Filipino that is why we many Filipino are known around the world because of it
creativity.
The Guest speaker is Ms. Helen Sanchez, she discussed how creative the
Filipinos. She said that the creativity is not based in one thought but in different
ways on how to be creative to the point Filipinos known around the world. It also
discussed that creativity it happens in all areas of life and also comes with
inspiration, vision, mind, idea, brainstorming, imagination, innovation, motivation
and knowledge. She included that Filipinos are resourceful, quick learners and
have the ability to improvise and make whatever is on hand in order to create and
produce which is true, mostly Filipino are using ice cream packaging as a
Tupperware and bottle of soda as pot for planting that shows how creative Filipino.
The benefits of creativity were discussed from generating ideas at will to become
more productive in terms of business. Being creative is connected to the three R’s
which is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and already been a cycle of every Filipinos
life style.

This week’s webinar entitled “I am Proud Filipino” was a deep topic. As a Master
of Ceremony Ms. Reyes she gives roll call of the colleges of lyceums. After that Ms. Bertiz
give an opening prayer and followed by National Anthem and Lyceum Hymn. The opening
remarks was given by Mr. Villanueva. He talked about the thing in our country’s problem
in terms in island.
The guest speakers are Ms. Alyssa Perera and Ms. Jasmin Bertiz. As a start of
discussion they played a song with video that talked about how we Filipinos care and
loved our country by following simple rules and by simple act of kindness toward other
fellowmen. After that Ms. Bertiz discussed patriotism which means a devotion to one’s
country and a virtue that pertains to the love for a nation, with more emphasis on values
and beliefs. A long the line of being patriotism is the willingness and determination to
laydown one’s life. They also talked the characteristics of Filipino Patriot it was by
respecting the flag because it was national identity of us, Filipinos. By patronize and
support our own products, our country has creative Filipino and we must be proud of it.
Third one is the respect everyone and value tradition, it was avoided in this time of
pandemic because of some protocols. Another, be aware of the issues of the country;
know your nation’s history and be able to share it to others; stand proud for every Filipino
achievement; be productive citizen, speak out our own language and not hesitant to tell

Today’s webinar deal with one of the component of National Service

Training Program the “Literacy Service Training”. The program started by Ms.
Pingkisan who lead the prayer followed by National Anthem and Lyceum Hymn.
As for the guest’s speaker, Ms. Helen Sanchez herself. She discussed what is the
important or worth of literacy in our life. She also gives words that we hold into and
that are Build, Educate, Inspire, and Empower to children’s life doesn’t have the
capacity to go to school and to prepare their future. She also discussed how or
what to do develop literacy to the young ones.
After discussing what is literacy, show some pictures on the past LTS
Activities in Planas. This thing is one of good experience, however it was not
conducted this year due to pandemic. Seeing those smiles in children’s lips was
one of a kind it was a genuine smile and that what the Literacy Training Service
do. The programmed end with giving of certificate, announcement and also closing
remarks of Prof. Dela Torre.
To sum it up, it was an impressive discussion of what is the importance of

REFLECTION:
Our speaker for this day is Mr. Leonardo Villason and it shares his
knowledge about Urban Gardening/Agriculture. It tells about the benefits of doing
an urban agriculture. He also teaches us how to start urban agriculture, he gave
us some tips and even gave us some information on where we can go to if we
need some seeds to plant. Another lesson is about how we can harvest a seed
from a vegetable and how we can preserver or where we can store the seed that
we harvested.
This kind of topic make us more aware on how we can take care of our
plants. It also inspires us to plant more fruits and vegetables specially now we are
in a state of pandemic, it takes us a hard time to produced on what food will we eat
today, but if we have some plants to be harvested, it can less the expenses and
we can be more healthy. Many of our parents or even teenagers become a “plantito
and plantita”, so this lesson is a big help.

house and found out that we have a plenty of
Hard Copy boxes because we bought a bulk
order of it. I made an organizer made of it and
we put our extra LED Strips on it for extra fancy.

REFLECTION :
On march 13, 2021 the orientation for National Service Training System
was held at exactly 8 in the morning.
Before we proceeded to the main topic, We Prayed for guidance from God
and Followed by our national anthem.
They also announced the NSTP Directors and Professor. And then move
on to the main topic which is they show a list of activities for the whole semester
and they prepared a power point that shows the previous NSTP program before
pandemic. And because of that I’m so excited for more upcoming meetings and
activities for NSTP. Even the program was held virtually it was successful and
entertaining.

URBAN GRADENING
REFLECTION:
For the week 3 of Nstp programme, We discussed about urban gardening.

The guest speaker of the urban gardening program of nstp is Engr. Leonardo P.
Bilazon, he is currently hold an agriculturist II position at the los baños site of the
research institue for tropical medicine.
Nowadays, Plants are the new hobby for those who so called plantitos and
plantitas. Since everyone is stayed at home due to pandemic it their way to keep
them busy and away from stress . Engr. Leonardo discuss the four benefits of
home gardens and urban agriculture which is the food and nutritional security,
Environment quality, economic benefit and ecosystem services. He also
discussed on how do we get started with urban agriculture, how to create garden
soil, how to harvest seeds from vegetables and how to store seed for planting.
I learned a lot about gardening since my parents are now starting become
a plantitos and plantitas I can share to them what I learned.

REFLECTION:
For the 5th week, The program started at 10:00 am with a prayer and
followed by our national anthem and lyceum hymn. The guest speaker for this
morning is Pastor Ronald J. Bertiz . He discussed about having a conqueror’s
mind and it’s have 4 steps to achieve that, do not accept thoughts of failure, fill
your mind with the word of God, Renew your mind and have a spiritual mind.
If we want to be successful we need to have faith in God even there is a

lot of struggle that we need to face because he will not forsaken us and always
has a plan for us.
After the discussion we sang a worship song and had a activity called
waterfall which we share the knowledge that we learned from the discussion.

REFLECTION:
April 17, 2021 for the 6th week, the guest speaker for this program is
Ma’am Catherine Dela torre and the topic is the importance of the youth. I think
this is also a good topic to discussed, because we will know more about early
pregnancy and also awareness about aids. Here in our country early pregnancy
is high rate because some teenager is lack of knowledge about having a sexual
intercourse. And also because of smoke, drinks and use drugs they become
more sexually active and sometimes leads to thoughts of suicide and violence.
I learned a lot in this topic especially ma’am dela torre is such a good
speaker she explained well the importance ofthe youth. As a youth, I need to be
careful on making decision because I’m the one will face the consequences

WEEK 7
REFLECTION:
April 24, today’s topic is creative filipino which discusses by Ms. Hellen
Sanchez. As usual before the discussion starts we pray for guidance and after
that we sung our national anthem. Creativity is the ability of a person or group to
make something new and useful or valuable. We all know that we Filipinos are
creative, resourceful, quick learners and have the ability to improvised and make
use of whatever is on hand in order to create and produce. We can make new
things from scratch for example pot made out of plastic bottle, rug from old
clothes and pencil holder made of old magazines. And being creative have a lot
of benefits like generate ideas at will, find new ways to make new money, create
new business opportunities and there is a lot more. Ms. Sanchez also discussed
about recycling because it so important to prevent pollution, reduces the need to
harvest new raw materials, saves energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions,
saves money, reduces the amount of waster that ends up in landfills, and allows
products to be used to theirs fullest extent. And after the discussion we watched
a short clip that showed us how to make things from old magazine and they give
us activity to make something from recycled materials.

REFLECTION:
For todays topic is about patriotism that’s because our meeting today was
title I am filipino. So again before we start the program we prayed,sung the
national anthem and the lyceum hymn.The speaker for today is Ms. Sheila Joy
Reyes. But before we proceed to the main topic they showed us a musical video
titled ako’y isang mabuting pilipino by noel cabangon. So after that we tackled
the patriotism which means a devotion to one’s country and a virtue that pertains
to the love for a nation, with more emphasis on values and beliefs. Here are
some characteristics of a filipino patriot, respect the flag and values filipino
identity, patronize and support our own products, respect everyone and value
traditions, be aware of the issues of the country, know your nation’s history and
be able to share it to others, stand proud for every filipino achievement, be a
productive citizen, speak out language and not hesitant to tell where you really
came from, remember and commemorate heroes sacrifices for our country and

REFLECTION:
May 15, today is productive day with my family. We have fun today even
we our just at home so we start the day by eating breakfast that I made and while
eating we just have small talk with my parents and after that we did our task or
household chores. When we are done we got tired so we decided to have some
rest in the living room while watching movies and we ate our lunch. In the
evening we take a nap because this our favorite time of the day, sleeping. After
we woke up, I helped my mother to cook our dinner and my siblings decided to
set the table outside and we have dinner there. That’s all it’s simple but we have
fun.

REFLECTION:
Today topic is all about literacy service through online teaching due to
pandemic we can’t do physical learning so the government implemented the
blended learning which means through online we can study at home. By LTS we
can build, educate, inspire and empower the people around us. Literacy is the
foundation of all education because of this we have the ability to communicate
and make sense of our world. Numeracy is the ability to use mathematics with
confidence and efficiency. Literacy development should be combined effort
between home and school. Here are the ways to support literacy development,
encourage reading, discuss texts together, make use of the library and use
games and activities that support literacy development. After the discussion they
show some pictures of program that LTS done before pandemic. It looks fun to
go somewhere and teach kids to read, color and write. But today, online class is
a new normal for learning.

REFLECTION:
We all know that Filipinos are all creative and can

make anything. However, we have various approaches of demonstrating it. Being
creative entails not only the ability to detect ideas but also the ability to create
usable products and items out of repurposed materials.
You don't need a lot of money to be creative; all you need is a creative mind that
you can use to create art. Because the most crucial aspect of being a creative is
our own self-expression. Be yourself, believe in your abilities, and trust any

The significance of it for future educators, as well as for every person of our
society. NSTP is very significant to future educators like us since it helps people
become better members of our society through leadership transformations and
other basic things. This encourages the spirit of patriotism, also known as
"MAKATAO, MAKABAYAN, MAKABANSA," as well as nationalism and long-term
social mobilization for youth development, so that we can be guided toward
achieving our life's objectives, aims, and goals that will lead to a brighter and more
secure future.
Nstp's Literacy Service Training, or LTS, is one of the program's

components. It derives from the word literate, which means you have knowledge
and understanding of a specific item or idea, you can read and write, and you are
educated in a particular field. And this focuses on preparing students to teach
literacy and numeracy using their talents and potential.
This component, LTS, attempts to improve our knowledge, abilities, and

values so that we may apply them in our daily lives. Literacy is crucial since we
can use it anywhere and everywhere, especially for students such as ourselves,
teenagers, and future instructors.

URBAN GRADENING
REFLECTION:
Today is the best day to learn again, our topic today is urban gardening
which is caught my attention because I am into gardening nowadays. Guest
speaker Engr. Leonardo, Bilazon discuss the history about urban agriculture which
is started 1998 it become the national program and they include it as one of the
programs of the Department of agriculture in region IV. This program practicing to
cultivate, processing and distributing food in or around urban areas. Engr. Bilazon
also discuss the benefits of urban gardening such as food and nutritional security
that provide fresh produce and nutritional, environment quality which is ecological
production system, economic benefits that helps in financial savings and
ecosystem service that enhanced biodiversity.
Out of my curiosity I asked engr. Bilazon about aquaponics because my brother

and I is attempting to do that. Engr. Said he is familiar about it but he didn’t attempt
to try because he find it difficult. Ofcourse I am shock because even my professors
find it difficult to be honest my motivation drop a little.
At the end of meeting i learned a lot about urban gardening, what to do and not to
do in gardening and the benefits of it.

Today is a bless day, our topic is about faith! Our guest speaker Pastor
bertiz tell us about having a conqueror’s mind, first is do not accept thoughts of

less motivation and make people see the impossibility’s in a situation and all
circumstance appear to be giant. Second is fill your mind with the word of God. We
believe that we are youth are the future and having God’s word of in our mind and

This 6th week is about the importance of youth, the importance of making
choices and building our own voices as a youth, being youth in this country is a big
responsibility they expecting youth to be the best version of ourselves to make a
better future for us and to them. Making choices is the big step for ourselves, and
the same time its hard to do. We make choices that will make us a grow and be a
better person or we make choice to be best human in this world. It hard because
they expect you to be perfect and don’t have a flaw. That we build voices that helps
us to be understand in this world that we youth are willing to be better person but
we need guidance and trust to be able to do that.
This week also discuss about the premarital sex this is one of the reason why
we should be alarmed, pre-marital sex is continue to grow because Sex after
marriage is fruitful having Unwanted pregnancy, teenage pregnancy, abortion,
STIs, HIV/AIDS, regrets, guilt, loss of self-respect, depression, loss of family
support, substance abuse and even suicidal death are the health impact of
premarital sexual behavior among adolescents.

WEEK 7
REFLECTION:
Today topic discuss about creativity of every Filipinos, being creative is

one of the best traits of Filipinos, we do the impossible, possible! Because of our
wide thinking and being resourceful.
Mrs. Helen, the guest speaker also discuss about 3R’s, The principle
of reducing waste, reusing and recycling resources and products is often called
the "3Rs." Reducing means choosing to use things with care to reduce the
amount of waste generated. Reusing involves the repeated use of items or parts
of items which still have usable aspects. Recycling means the use of waste itself
as resources. Waste minimization can be achieved in an efficient way by
focusing primarily on the first of the 3Rs, "reduce," followed by "reuse" and then
"recycle." Also today we been asked to show our creativity using the 3r’s ,
what I did is I create a Newspaper Swan Origami, Accessories Holder.
As you all see this one is I create using a old newspaper, it is a multiple
folding of cut newspaper and I put it together to make a swan, and tadaaaa!

Good day! The topic for today is about we Filipino

being proud to be a Filipino ourselves! Mrs. Jasmine and Mrs.
Alyssa discuss about being a good Filipino and how can we show
our love in this country, such as following the rules, loving
oneself, using our own language, fear in God, respecting adults
and also our flag.
Patriotism is a devotion in our country and a virtue that

pertains to the love for a nation, with more emphasis on values

Today discuss about literacy (literate) or knowledge, LTS is one of the

program components of NSTP that fucuses on training students with skills and
potentials in teaching literacy and numeracy. It aims to strengthen the knowledge,
skills and values of the future educators to be used not only in the field og teaching,

For me my NSTP experience was such an incredible experience. Because

it helps me to build friendships and helps me also to be a better student. Our
teacher was such an amazing teacher also. Every time he begin he's class, he
always brings amazing tricks in order to make the class happy and jolly.
I learned how to have sympathy for others, to understand their weaknesses and to

The power of faith from what i realized from pastor is trusting the process.
The process given to me by my god. Accepting fully life on its own terms as they
would call it completely surrendering to god. In addition, for me faith without work
is dead. In a spiritual aspect, having the wisdom and knowledge of my god’s will
allows me to do what is right and being true to oneself. In times of adversity do we
usually question our god but that is where our faith is tested. If we truly believe and
trust that god can make things right as long as i keep the faith, i have nothing to

WEEK 7
REFLECTION:
You can make anything out of popsicle sticks! If you start listing out them it
will surely not come to an end. Popsicle sticks are quite popular in DIY crafts. So I
thought I'd give it a try by crafting lamp shades.
I always try to craft simple things and make the instructions as easy as
possible. Anyways, this lampshade is one of the easy ones, I'm sure! that you can
make these lamp shades easily.
I love doing the DIY lamp, to add a fun and playful touch to a desk or bedside
table. They’re quick and simple to make, and because we just used a basic light
fixture you can move the lamp around or even swap in another shade in case you
want a change later on!

REFLECTION:
There are many reasons to be proud of being a Filipino. First, Filipinos are known
for their hospitality. We are courteous to our visitors. We are able to smile even
though we are having a bad time and we are still positive in every situation. Many
of our country people have gained recognition in foreign countries. For instance,
representatives of The Philippines has won several international beauty contests.
We have also competed with foreign film makers abroad and garnered awards. In
the recent “Asia Got Talent” competition with other Asian countries, The
Philippines also won awards for their artistic performances.
As an employee, I am proud to have a good heart. I am willing to sacrifice and

work hard for my family and the same goes for other employees.

REFLECTION:
Family is likely one of the most powerful forces in the entire world. And there
are things about it that make it that way. Though for each of us, family is different;
it is still home, it is a place to belong and it is that place where we fit in perfectly.
Family is knowing that no one could ever take your place. It is that spot
where you are completely irreplaceable. It is that sweet place where you belong in
all of your heart and personality and spunk; where you get to be unashamedly
yourself every single day.
It is where you are loved and known. You are seen exactly as you are with
your greatness and with your darkness. And no matter what, you’re never given
up on, never pushed away, never forgotten, never denied.
Family is that look between a husband and wife, a glance between a brother
and sister, a wink between a dad and a son. It is silly conversations and jokes that
don’t make sense and laughter that goes into the night.
It is family vacations and swimming until our legs grow tired and
conversations with hard questions. It is learning from one another and trying new
things and getting up every single day to love again. It is wonder and it is thanks
and it is beautiful.
We don’t choose our family but we do get to choose to open our hearts wide
to receive from them and to love them with our entire gushing hearts.

Literacy is one big thing that cannot happen overnight. Through efforts of our
selfless professors and mentors who seek to provide it even in online platforms is truely
astounding. Literacy may cone as innept, from studying or from experience. But what is
most important is the guidance of our mentors in searching, understanding and applying
all those learned ideas in to our daily lives. Literacy not necessarily means that you are
literate, it also encompasses your ability to understand and comprehend what is in front
of you. Thankfully, being literate while in online schooling is a lot easier with the help of
