POST TEST - EVALUATION!

Answer the following questions:

1. Identify and describe two different groups of people who may use leisure facilities?
 Normal people/ abled people- people who can do any leisure activities. Hiking and
camping, Hunting and fishing, Canoeing, kayaking and rafting, Sailing and
motorboating, Biking, Rock Climbing, Horseback riding, etc,.

 Disabled People- Individuals who are limited in their daily activities are more

likely to allocate their time to passive leisure (e.g., reading, television, video, and radio)
and less likely to spend their time in social entertainment (e.g., theater, culture, and
social events) as compared to non-disabled individuals.

2. Give reasons why older people are less likely to take part in sport than teenagers.
 As your body gets older, recovery takes longer. Aches are amplified, and
injuries sustained take much longer to heal. Poor health could also mean
issues outside of sport. With age of course comes greater risk of health
problems, and these could be contributing to adults dropping out of sport.
Older people may experience decreasing flexibility, strength and general
fitness and find it harder to recover from injury. This affects their choice of
activity and gentler, lower impact sports such as golf, bowls and cycling are
popular with the older age group.

A. EXPLAIN THE FOLLOWING:

1. Describe two ways that a school can help participation in sport

 Physical activity is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle for children, and schools can play
an influential role in helping students engage in physical exercise and. Schools should
encourage students to participate in any sports activity in school. Here are some ways
school can help students to participate in sports.
 1. Promoting exercise in schools can start with educating students on the benefits we
discussed above. By informing students of how impactful physical exercise is to their health
and wellbeing, as well as their performance at school, we can motivate and empower them
to stay active. This is especially important for older students since they’re more capable of
understanding the research on physical activity’s benefits and tend to have more say over
how they spend their time at home.
 2. Physical education courses give students the opportunity to get some exercise during the
school day and can help them learn healthy habits for leading active lifestyles. Physical
education classes that teach sports and other team-building games add a social component
to physical activity that can make it more fun and meaningful for kids. Physical education
classes can play an influential role for students who otherwise live sedentary lifestyles.

2. Give two features of leisure time.

 The total leisure time indicator is the sum of two categories of leisure: active leisure time and
passive leisure time.
Active leisure is divided into three categories of activity:
Social leisure, where the primary focus is socializing with family and friends;
Cognitive leisure, where the focus is on hobbies, games, and other mentally stimulating
activities; and
Physical leisure, which encompasses sports and exercise.
• These activities often occur outside the home and typically involve contact with other
Passive leisure is the time that people spend at home in activities that are relaxing and that require
little effort. Passive leisure activities include watching television, listening to the radio, or listening to
music. Passive leisure activities provide relaxation, which is necessary to mental health, but such
activities are typically sedentary and may do little to improve physical health or cognitive functioning.
Ideally, time spent in passive leisure should be balanced with time spent in active leisure activities..

3. Describe some of the benefits of being part of a school sports team.

• Being part of a team helps students to learn social skills, make friends, and improve their
communication and emotional intelligence. They will learn the value of the team, not just the
individual. . Coaches are mentors and role models for their teams, and help students create
lasting, healthy relationships on and off the field.
In fact, playing sports helps students relax and reduce their anxiety. ... Besides just being fun,
sports can help you perform better in school, relax more and worry less, deal with setbacks,
work better with others and increase your energy — all of which helps you balance school and
everything else going on in your life.

C. Choose 1 indoor and 1 outdoor recreational game and make an output of the following:

 Do the game and take a photo while doing it.

 Make a reflection about that game that you choose.
 What benefits you can get after doing that recreational game.

INDOOR GAMES

Bahay-Bahayan is a pretending diversion where kids go about as members of the

imaginary family, once in a while to the degree that one of them turns into the family "pet". They at
that point carry on different family circumstances, for example, supper, going to mass, clothing,
and so on. It would be perfect if there are four to five players of this fun game.
CARAMOAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Caramoan, Camarines Sur

I had a delighted youth. I adapted relatively every game and did nearly everything a free soul
could do. With my kin, cousins, and companions, I played tagu-taguan, patintero, bahay-bahayan.
We climbed each mango, kaimito, santol, and some other tree nearby.
Bahay-bahayan wasn't precisely my optimal game. I thought of it as exhausting and a major
misuse of my valuable recess. I opposed each time somebody recommended playing the game. I
abhor it particularly in light of the fact that I frequently needed to play the father when all I
extremely needed was to play the most youthful kid. I would have been to do anything while my
companions broke their heads emulating the adults in the family. Be that as it may, I didn't get this
decision part as a general rule.
Recollections of Bahay-bahayan are back in my mind nowadays and in living shading yet, paying
little mind to what I am doing. Now and again they come in bits, here and there in entire scenes
devouring my working time.
In spite of my overwhelming challenge against playing the game, bahay-bahayan showed me very
most important lesson in life. It is absurd for grown-ups to act like kids and avoid their duties when
even children try to act responsibly during their playtime and probably every time.

OUTDOOR GAMES
CARAMOAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Caramoan, Camarines Sur

In my younger years,, I used to see my cousins jump over those stretchable, thin garters.
What I was sure was that the thing that they were jumping off a garter. I learned that those were
chinese garters. After classes or during summer, my girl cousins as well as their playmates would
then share a peso each for their Chinese garter. Then I could just see them from where I was
sitting with great smiles and laughter marked on their faces.

The usual thing that I observe when girls play Chinese garter was the two or three garters
are being tied from end to end. Thus, making it to a closed form. Once it has been tied, 2 persons
or “it” would then go inside the Chinese garter to stretch it. At this point, the garter are put into
knee level and is in parallel form. Then, the game starts where the person who is in her turn jumps
over the garter to either stamp it or do the game.
There are also times when there are 3 persons who are the it. They usually act as teams
where they help each other if one haven't reached the minimum number in doing a certain routine
or have missed the routine. If the other teammate failed to save the one, then they only have the
3rd person as the chance. If the 3rd person failed, then they become the it. This system could also
be applied with only two persons as the it and two persons as a player.
In today's generation, chinese garters are still being played. However, the game routines
have been changed and developed thru years.
CARAMOAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Caramoan, Camarines Sur

With few coins, kids experiences genuine enjoyment. Can you imagine that? What about if
most children today indulge themselves back to the traditional games as chinese garters rathen
than to technology? They should have experienced the joy of jumping over chinese garters.
