Introduction
It is said that students should not study only for scores nor grades. Students should study
most of all for learning. It is possible for students to obtain high scores and good grades but did
not really learn that much. What is ideal is for students to get high scores and good grades
because they really learned a lot. Our word of employment, scholarship grants, etc. still look at
grades as criteria for hiring and screening for scholarship. So grades have pragmatic value.
Therefore, it is best that students work for good grades that genuinely reflect level of mastery.
Review the policy guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the k to 12 Basic Education
Program in DO 8 s. 2015 and the Interim Guidelines for Assessment and Grading in Light of the
Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan in DepEd Order 31 s.2020. The grading system of the
DepEd is contained in the said DepEd Orders.

1. What are the teaching implications for the students’ test scores and grades?
We all know that assessment is a key component of learning because it helps students
learn. When students are able to see how they are doing in class, they are able to
determine whether or not they understand the course material. Assessment can also help
motivate students. Teaching implications for the student's test scores and grades are: a)
Instructional support. Because some of the students are absent every time, we're having
an online class. My Resource Teacher as me to record my discussion and send the
PowerPoint presentation to the group chat of every section for those who are not present
will be guided. b) Questioning with a focus on student learning. This means that teacher
seeks the needs of every student for him/her to adjust in every situation. Those who
cannot afford for online class, my Resource teacher always says to her class that by the
way you have a module just approach me when you have queries. And by that student
can still comply. c) Wait time. This teaching implication will let students work with
quality for their requirements. She set a deadline but there are some students who
submitted in a hurry that is why they didn't meet a highest score based on the rubrics. d)
Discussing the grading system to students. This is very important for the students to not
be shocked when they see the results of their score when showing of grades. e) Respect
diverse talents and ways of learning. Because some of the students are Ifugao that is why
they have creative requirement in fashion accessory. And some also are good. By this
teacher understand the diverse talents of students. f) Engage students in activities. There
are students who passed after the deadline and they keep on asking what to do. We can
say here that students are not active when it comes to activities. This teaching
implications would train students to become responsive and responsible person. g)
Communicate high expectations. The very good example of this is when setting a rubric.
By this, student will know how quality must be their output are. Student's scores are very
important because it will reflect and acted upon on by different teaching implications. A
problem and a solution process. Student's scores allow students to aim high without
settling for less they are capable of achieving. Test scores provide a means for
comparison and an opportunity to show growth.

Reflect
Individual Output
Scores and grades of the students is the reflection of the efficiency of the teacher. With
regards to the personal message I got from the student’s scores I believe I somehow did a good
job imparting them the knowledge they need to pursue a successful educational career.
