• A freehand drawing and not writing.
• Lettering six fundamental strokes and their directions
• Follow the important aspects of lettering
• Proportions and Forms
• Strokes
• Spacing of letters and words
• Good lettering is always accomplished by practice
• Used to communicate ideas and to describe elements
that cannot be effectively explained with just drawings
• Good lettering cannot be over-emphasized. The lettering
can make or break an otherwise good drawing
• In order to make words and letter in drawing quickly and
easily understood, a universal style of lettering is used that
is usually done in all capital letters.
