Congratulations Coach Chun:

I am pleased to offer you the regular/permanent position of Head Women’s Wrestling Coach in the
Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, beginning Monday, February 7, 2022. You will report to
Wrestling Sport Administrator Barbara Burke as your administrative/direct supervisor and Tom Brands
as your functional supervisor. The position is 100 percent time at an annual salary of $115,000 and
includes a full benefits package. Your contract will be for a five year term, commencing February 7,
2022 through June 30, 2026. Additionally, you will be provided with a $10,000 (gross) signing bonus
payable the first of the month following your start date and a transition/relocation incentive of
$11,500 (gross) payable on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You will be eligible
to receive University benefits described below and incentives as noted in the attached Appendix A.

You will be paid monthly and will receive all payments by direct deposit. You may designate your
direct deposit account on the University of Iowa Employee Self Service Center web site shortly after
you begin your appointment.

Your employee benefit options will include medical and dental insurance, life insurance, disability
insurance, and health care and dependent care spending accounts, and a retirement plan with either
TIAA or IPERS. Insurance coverage is available for you, your spouse or domestic partner, and your
children. You will be eligible for University of Iowa benefits on the first of the month following your
start date. You will also be eligible for vacation, sick leave and university recognized holidays.

You will be provided, and must accept, a departmental cell phone and service from a designated carrier
to ensure full NCAA compliance in recruiting. You will also be provided with a monthly car stipend of
$600 in lieu of the use of a courtesy car and you will be eligible for Athletics Specific Staff Privileges and
Taxable Benefits, including, but are not limited to: complimentary sporting event tickets, Finkbine golf
privileges, complimentary access to UI sponsored sports camps and clinics, post-season travel or
benefits and apparel discounts at Hawkeye Fan Shop: A Black and Gold Store.

This position is classified as At-Will. At-Will status applies to a staff member whose administrative,
policy-making or other responsibilities make it inappropriate to confer career status upon them in the
position.

The University of Iowa is required by federal law to verify the identity and work authorization of all
new employees. Accordingly, this offer is contingent upon such verification. This offer is also
contingent upon the university’s verification of credentials and other information required by law
and/or University policies, including a criminal background check. In addition, a valid driver's license is

Appendix A: Head Women’s Wrestling Coach Contract Terms

Contract Term: 5 years

Base Salary: Year one-June 30, 2022: $115,000


July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023: $120,000
July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024: $130,000
July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025: $130,000
July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026: $130,000

Other Benefits: $600/month car stipend; $10,000 signing bonus, $11,500 transition/relocation
incentive; Finkbine Golf Course privileges

Termination by University without cause: Liquidated Damages: Sum of $115,000 each year (pro rata)
remaining or $230,000, whichever is less.
