Parte 1. Create a visual layout of your family.

 Use poster board.
 Include at least 15 family members .
 Include a picture for at least 5 family members.
o Use photos, magazine cutouts, graphics, and/or drawings. Be creative!!!
 Label each family member’s name and their relation to you in Spanish
o Use possessive adjectives “mi/mis”
o Labels should NOT be in pencil; use marker to clearly write the labels or print off words from
the computer.

Parte 2. Write 2 paragraphs about your family in Spanish.

Paragraph 1: Describe the members of your family
 How are you related?
 Write descriptions based on their appearance/personality/age (“es alto”, “es cariñosa” or
“tiene 15 años”, etc.)
 Use the verbs “tener”, and “ser”
Paragraph 2: Describe what your family does together during the week, on weekends, while on
vacation, etc.
 Use –ar, -er, and –ir verbs in the present tense

 Each paragraph must include at least 10 sentences minimum (don’t forget intro and conclusion
sentences).
 You don’t have to describe all 15 members from the tree. You may just decide to focus on specific
family members!
 The final copy of your paragraphs must be typed (double spaced) or hand written in ink (double
spaced).
