Brief Discussion:
The ability to relate ourselves not just to our fellowmen regardless of their status in life
but also to our surroundings and to other lower forms of animals is what is known as
intersubjectivity. We should have a heart like that of an ocean which can accommodate all
kinds of people not because we like them but because this is proper and correct.
Learning Competency:
1. Realize that intersubjectivity requires accepting differences and not imposing on others
2. Explain that authentic dialogue means accepting others even if they are different from
themselves
3. Performs activities that demonstrate an appreciation for the talents of persons with disabilities
and those from the underprivileged sectors of society
4. Recognize how individuals form societies and how individuals are transformed by societies
