Bhakti Saint:- Saint Kabir Das (1440-1518)
● Kabir also known as Kabir Das' was born and brought up in a
Muslim weavers family by Niru and Nima. He was a mystic
poet and a musician and was one of the important saints of
Hinduism and also considered a Sufi by Muslims. He is
respected by Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. He was a disciple of
Ramananda. He was a weaver by profession.
● He believed in unity among all religions and described Hindus
and Muslims as pots of the same clay.
● Relevance of Kabir in present time:
● Kabir's teaching are in perfect harmony with the social and
religions needs of the present times; He identified himself
completely with the concept of an integrated Indian society and
won the hearts of millions. This is the need of the hour right
now.

Bhakti Saint:-Guru Nanak Dev
● GURU Nanak, also referred to as Baba Nanak, was the
founder of Sikhism and is the first of the ten Sikh Gurus.
His birth is celebrated worldwide as Guru Nanak Gurpurab
on Katak Pooranmashi, i.e. October–November.
● Born: 29 November 1469, Nankana Sahib, Pakistan
● Died: 22 September 1539, Kartarpur, Pakistan
● Scholars state that in its origins, Guru Nanak and Sikhism
were influenced by the nirguni ('formless God') tradition of
the Bhakti movement in medieval India.

His teachings are present in- Guru Granth Sahib- the holy
book of Sikhs.
Sufi Saint:- Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti
Sultan-ul-Hind, Hazrat Sheikh Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti
Ajmeri, was born in 1141 and died in 1236 AD. He is also
known as Gharīb Nawāz ( Benefactor of the Poor). He is the
most famous Sufi saint of the Chishti Order of South Asia.
Moinuddin Chishti introduced and established this Order in
India. His shrine is at Ajmer, Rajasthan, India.

In his discourses Chishti preached about loving all our fellow


creatures, irrespective of religion and status. His key
teachings include charity and compassion for the poor and
helpless, leading a pure life of devotion to the Divine, and
achieving oneness with God in the service of his creations.
Sufi Saint:- Nizamuddin Auliya
Born: 9 October 1238, Budaun Nizamuddin Auliya was an unparalleled Sufi of
