Old Application Interface:

1: Plant-disease-detection
The application provides a handy camera integration to allow the farmer to click an image of the
crop he wishes to diagnose. This image is processed in the backend using a deep learning model to
classify the plant disease. The classification includes a class "background" exclusively to alert the
user that the camera frame did not capture the infected area of the plant properly. It can detect any
disease on the plant leaves.

3: Detecting Plant Leaf Diseases

Plant diseases are one of the grand challenges that face the agriculture sector worldwide. In the
United States, crop diseases cause losses of one-third of crop production annually.
Despite the importance, crop disease diagnosis is challenging for limited-resources farmers if
performed through optical observation of plant leaves’ symptoms. Therefore, there is an urgent need
for markedly improved detection, monitoring, and prediction of crop diseases to reduce crop
agriculture losses.

4: A Smart Phone Image Processing Application for Plant Disease Diagnosis
Although professional agriculture engineers are responsible for the recognition of plant diseases,
intelligent systems can be used for their diagnosis in early stages. The expert systems that have been
proposed in the literature for this purpose, are often based on facts described by the user or image
processing of plant photos in visible, infrared, light etc. The recognition of a disease can often be
based on symptoms like lesions or spots in various parts of a plant.

5: Crop: Plant Disease Identification Using Mobile App.
It requires detailed knowledge the types of diseases and lot of experience needed to make sure the
actual disease detection. Some of the diseases look almost similar to farmers often leaves them
confused. Look at the below image for more understanding.
