ABSTRACT
Report text is a text that provides an overview of objects as living things, such
as plants, humans, animals, and can also be inanimate and unnatural objects.
The communicative purpose of the report text is to convey information about
something as it is as a result of systematic observation or analysis. In order to
have the ability to develop competence communicate in oral and written form to
reach the level of In informational literacy, training participants who are MA
English teachers are required to have the ability to understand the essence and
create essays in the form of reports. This paper tries to describe the ins and outs
of the report text as an effort to provide resources learning that is useful for
understanding the training participants will the essence of the report text on the
deepening of the material in the MA English Teacher Training and Education.
Our group will explain about growing plants, namely roses with their
uniqueness.

Rose
If you are in love, you may remember a rose. It is a symbol
of romantic thing. However do you know the nature of this
beautiful flower?

GENERAL
Rose is in a family of Rosaceae. The flower is large and
CLASSIFICATION:
showy. The colours range from white through yellows and
reds. Most species of rose are native to Asia,
Europe, North America, and northwest Africa.

Rose plants can grow in different size from compact,


miniature, to climbers which reach 7 meters in height.

DESCRIPTION The popular species of roses are Banksianae, Caninae,


: Carolinae, Chinensis, Gallicanae.
 Banksianae is a rose flower from China which is white
and yellow.
 Caninae is a species from Asia, Europe and North
Africa which is pink and white.
 Carolinae is known from North America which has a
white, pink, and bright pink colour.
 Chinensis is a white, pink, yellow, red and mixed-
color rose from China and Burma.
 Gallicanae is a species of roses from western Asia and
Europe which is pink to crimson.

CONCLUSION: Roses are best known as ornamental plants grown for their
flowers in the garden and sometimes indoors. They have
been also used for commercial perfumery and commercial
cut flower crops.

2. DESCRIPTION
a. Part of the object
 Flower petals, The petals are a protective layer on the outside of
the crown. These petals are the leaves that appear before the
flowers bloom, friends. Then spread open so the flowers can open
and bloom. The petals protect the flower while the flower is still
growing. These petals protect the flower from wind, rain, or
sunlight. The number of petals is usually four or five.
 Flower crown, Then there is a crown of roses of various colors.
Roses have additional nutrients that affect their color and aroma.
This beautiful color and fragrant aroma is indeed used to attract the
attention of insects and other animals for the pollination process
 pistil head, The pistil is in the middle of the flower crown. This
part is the part that is given pollen for pollination. That's why
usually the pistil looks covered by yellow powder.
 pistil stalk, Under the pistil there is a stalk that distributes
pollen. This pollen is then transferred to the ovary.
 Seed, There are many ovules in roses. These seeds are in the
rose hip which is at the base of the flower.

 Roses are a type of shrub plant that comes from the genus rosa as
well as the name of the flowers produced by this plant.
 Roses are generally thorny shrubs or climbing plants that can reach
2 to 5 meters in height. Although rarely found, the height of roses
that propagate on other plants can reach 20 meters.
 Roses consist of 5 petals with the exception of Rosa sericea which
only has 4 petals. In general, roses have thorns shaped like hooks
that serve as a handle when climbing other plants.
 Roses can thrive in temperate climates. Even so, there are also
some cultivars that are able to grow in areas that have a subtropical
climate.
 Generally, rose plants are classified as Wild Rose or wild roses and
Old Garden Rose or crosses. However, the roses known in
Indonesia are mostly Hybrid Tea and Medium roses.

c. Qualities

Besides being known for its beauty, roses also have various uses.
Flowers that are very easy to find in Indonesia are often used as
ornamental plants, decorations for various events, to special gifts
for loved ones. However, the use of this flower is not limited to
that, there are benefits of roses which are also beneficial for health
as well as beauty.

d. Habits

Roses thrive in cool areas, and can propagate up to a height of 20


meters. According to research, roses originally came from the
plains of China, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. In their
development they spread widely cold and hot areas. The process of
entering the rose plant into Indonesia itself was brought by the
Dutch. At that time, the Dutch planted flowers in cool climates,
such as in Lembang and Cipanas. From these areas roses then
became a commodity that circulated to remote parts of the country.
After Indonesia's independence, the Dutch left the flower gardens
which returned to the hands of the natives.

Thinking = Rose is symbolic flower as love, almost every women love with it,
some times people give it to their couple because its romantic and most people
loves it because of the colours, there's some species of rose that we can known,
every of them has his own characterisric, Banksianae is a rose flower from
China which is white and yellow.

white.

Carolinae is known from North America which has a white, pink, and bright
pink colour.

Chinensis is a white, pink, yellow, red and mixed-color rose from China and

Rose also could be used for commercial to, its used to be perfume, flowers
bucket or cut flower crops.

Suggestion = When the text mention species of rose,it should be describe which
part of rose that would be explained, and the text not explained the function of
rose in this century,because in this century there's so much handycraft that
made from rose where they used to be as commercial beside perfume
