General description of the organisation Pakistan tarbela dam is large scale dam. Tarbela dam construct over Indus river. The
project was done by Pakistan water and power development authority. It is also
considered as the second largest dam in the Pakistan due to its potential of reservoir
capacity. Its total capacity is about to 13.69k m3.The total capacity of power generated by
the dam is 2778MW. Six generator produced of 175MW each and four generator
produced of 432 MW. The covered ground area of Tarbela dam is approximately 250
square kilometre.
