    Significance of the Study

    The proposed Regional Agricultural Innovation Depot will greatly contribute

    to the development and empowerment of the country’s agriculture sector by

    providing a facility that caters the needs of agriculture enthusiasts. Thus, the

    following stakeholders will benefit from the study:

    The producers will primarily benefit this developmental study. Regional

    farmers and fishermen can have access to quality education and training that they

    can use to develop their farms and crops. They could also have access to

    government services that will support and address their concerns regarding some

    issues they encounter. Moreover, through the proposed development, they could

    market and promote their product to different agribusiness enterprises, local

    buyers, wholesalers and consumers of the region.

    The study will be helpful to the agribusiness enterprises, buyers and

    consumers. The Regional Agricultural Innovation Depot will be the center of

    business and trade of the agriculture sector of the locality. This will help the

    agribusiness enterprises to have the opportunity to meet and form business to

    local producers that will fit for the quality and quantity of product their business’

    demands. Furthermore, the consumers will also have the accessibility to the

    freshest and healthiest produce from their locality.

    The local community will greatly benefit from the proposed development.

    The agriculture hub will ideally boosts the supply of quality products from the

    producers that will help in achieving food security of the region. Furthermore, the
    hub will create opportunities for local farmers and fishermen, who belongs to the

    poorest sector of the society, that will help uplift their quality of living. The

    Regional Agricultural Innovation Depot will also be a landmark that attracts

    guests, creates jobs for the locals and promotes the tourism of the city.

    The academe will also gain opportunity to promote education and training

    to the local farmers and fishermen of the region as the proposed project will

    provide education and training facilities and offers courses that will greatly benefit

    the producers of the locality.

    Lastly, this research study will be beneficial to the future researchers. The

    contents of this developmental study will be use as a basis or sited as a related

    study of other researchers that have a similar study or want to expound certain

    areas of this developmental research.

    Scope and Delimitation of the Study

    The proposed research is an applied developmental study. It focuses on

    the development of a Regional Agriculture Innovation Depot, which mainly

    consists of agri-trade, education, and research and development hub. The scope

    of the study is limited at Tagum City, Davao Del Norte.

    Moreover, the Regional Agriculture Innovation Depot deals with many

    scientific processes in terms of its actual execution. This study will not delve

    deeply into its scientific process but rather focus more on the architectural details

    and construction of the facility.


    Furthermore, although the proposed agriculture hub can produce various

    types of crops and raise a variety of aquatic species, it is still limited to high value

    crops and products, which are suitable in the climate and environment of Tagum

    City.
