DEDICATION PREFACE

To our parents,
with love and appreciation The quiet of an outdoor evening, the glow of the campfire, stars
twinkling overhead, surrounded by family or friends - a perfect
setting for sharing the joy and fellowship of music.

All kinds of wonderful songs can be sung around the campfire.

The mood may be boisterous and happy, making you want to " Sing,
Sing Together," as in the first section of the book. The next section
of spirituals may fill the need t o "Rocka My Soul" as the rhythmic
songs lend themselves to expression through clapping, snapping or
tapping. Voices blend together "Round And Round" producing the
sound of a wondrous choir as those simple yet challenging rounds of
the third section are sung. Finally, when "Day Is Done" and the
mood shifts to the quieter songs, the last section offers beautiful
songs, melodies t hat are lovely for harmonizing and a warm good-
night.

Whether around the campfire, in the car or just at home, these

10th PRINTING - JUNE 1985 are wonderful songs fo~ sharing, expressing, shouting, enjoying.
Music speaks to all of us and in this spirit we join you in song.
