** Please note that only players who take part in this State Championship will
be permitted to represent Tamil Nadu as selected/special entries in the forth
coming National U-12 Chess Championship for Boys and Girls. Hence
participation in this State Championship is Compulsory **
Eligibility: Subject to the age limit, the following players can participate
1 Every affiliated district / Special unit can field two players in each category.
2 The top four rankers of the TN State Under-11 Boys and Girls Chess Championships
2019 are seeded to play here in respective category subject to age stipulation.
3 The top two rankers of the TN State Under-9 Boys & Girls Chess Championships
2020 are seeded to play in their respective categories.
4 The Champion of TN State U-7 Open & Girls Chess Championship 2019 are seeded
to play in their respective categories.
5 In addition to above the following districts can field additional entries by virtue of
three medal winners (gold, silver and bronze) secured by their players in the last
32nd TN State Under 11 Open & Girls Chess Championship 2019 held at Cuddalore
Boys: Gold & Bronze (3 + 1 ) – Kanchipuram, Silver (2) – Coimbatore
Girls: Gold (3) – Chennai, Silver (2) – Trichy, Bronze (1) – Tiruvallur
6 In the event of an odd entry in any category, the Virudhunagar District Chess
Association is entitled to add one more to make the total number even.
7 Any player who pays the prescribed Special entry fee: Open: Rs.800/- Girls:
Rs.800/- may be considered for participation and these entries should be duly
recommended by their concern district chess association.
8 The TNSCA General Secretary can nominate one entry in each category.
9 Any current National Champion in any category is to be seeded to All State
championships subject to age stipulation.
10 Any current National No. 2 and 3 is to be seeded to the same category State
Championship subject to age stipulation.
11 Any current World Champion in any category is to be seeded to All State
Championships subject to age stipulation.
12 Any current World No. 2 and 3 are to be seeded to the same + one step higher
State championships subject to age stipulation.
13 Any Current Asian Champion is to be seeded to the same plus one step higher
state championship subject to age stipulation.
14 Any Current Asian No. 2 and 3 are to be seeded to the same category subject to age
stipulation.
15 Any current State Champion is to be seeded to all lower categories State
Championships subject to the restriction regarding age.
16 All GMs & IMs are seeded to all Open (boys) State Championships subject to age
stipulation and have a rating of 2399 or less.
17 WGMs & WIMs are seeded to all State Chess Championships, subject to age
stipulation and have a rating of 2399 or less.
18. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to participate.
All entries whether ‘regular’ or ‘special’ should be routed through the respective district
chess association on or before 10.02.2022. No entry will be entertained after 10.02.2022.

Entries should be routed only through their respective District Chess Associations.
Food
The college is about 6 KMs from the town. Players and parents are strongly suggested to
take the hygenic and quality food provided in the hostel. Players will be charged Rs.400/-
for the four days and parents Rs.600/-. Only those who register themselves by paying the
prescribed amount through g-pay to 70102 77986 will be provided food. After paying the
amount, the g-form given below has to be filled attaching the payment proof. There is no
guarantee of getting food for those who do not pay in advance. It is mandatory to fill up the
separate g-form https://forms.gle/dDxoA5T9mou1cqTo8 by all those who need accommodation.
Covid-19 Precautions
All the participants ae strongly advised to strictly adhere to the SOP stipulated by
the Government. They also have to sign the Self Declaration form on their arrival
with respect to Covid-19.
1. All players are required to maintain social distancing and hand sanitization
at tournament hall.
7. Sanitization of chess board and chess pieces will be carried out at regular
interval.
8. Parents and accompanying persons are not allowed inside tournament hall
at all times.
