    Dear Dr. Ferrer,

    We, Los Angeles County Superintendents formally request that the Los Angeles County
    Department of Public Health (LADPH) fully aligns with the state in its masking policy.

    From the beginning of this pandemic, the LADPH has always allowed its districts to be more
    restrictive in their policies regarding Covid. We request that this same practice is afforded to
    school masking policy. We believe the baseline must be county alignment to state policy and that
    districts choosing to be more restrictive will have every opportunity to do so.
