Board Member Q & A
Q: What is the plan and timeline with respect
to the possibility of having a driving range?

A: We are currently removing blackberries

and noxious weeds from the area where the
driving range could possibly be located. When
this is completed, we will have an arborist do
an inventory of the remaining trees. We will
be able to remove any trees that are dying or
dangerous. We will have to plant some
replacement trees elsewhere on the site. At
some point in the future, we will likely have to
get some kind of approval from the City to
fully finish the driving range and use it.
Board Member Q & A
Q: What would the range look like
(grass, turf, direction, length, etc)?

A: The range could be

approximately 300 yards in length.
Balls would be hit toward the west
from the higher ground on the east end
which sits outside of the flood plain.
Grass would be planted after minimal
grading to allow staff to operate a ball
picker.
Board Member Q & A

Q: Will the full membership be given the

opportunity to fully understand and vote on the
plan for a driving range before financial resources
are committed?

A: The Board will be making decisions on the

driving range and will likely seek additional input
from the membership. We anticipate that there
would be an additional monthly fee to operate and
maintain the driving range.
Board Member Q & A
Q: Is there a plan to improve the
red tee box on Hole 2? If so,
when?

A: The Greens Committee will

make the final determination for
project list and priority.
Superintendent David Clark is
anticipating tee box improvements
to be performed on several holes
this winter, including #2. The tee
will be raised and leveled, and a
retaining wall installed. Salvaged
materials and fill should keep the
costs down.
Board Member Q & A

Q: Will we remain open considering the governor's new restrictions?

A: Yes, Linden will remain open given governor’s restrictions

announced Sunday, November 15. The Golf Alliance of Washington has
negotiated an agreement with the Governor’s office which is golf
course industry specific. The Golf Alliance of Washington is comprised
of the major industry associations for the region, including WA
Golf, Club Managers Association-Evergreen Chapter, Pacific Northwest
Section PGA, and Western Washington Golf Course Superintendents
Association.
Cart Building Update
The new cart storage facility is
projected to be completed in
the next 60 days.

The new building will feature

room for up to 52 power carts
along with a covered practice
area that replaces and improves
upon the old hitting net.
Players can hit full shots or turn
around and hit pitch shots out
to the short game area.
Q: What’s the plan
for the short game
area?

A: The short game

area will be extended
westerly. We will be
consulting with Dan
Hixson (Wine Valley
GC, Silvies Valley
Ranch) on the design.

The initial concept

sketch is shown here.

Estimated completion
next spring or
summer.
We are looking forward to an amazing
2021!!!
