Chapter 0 Introduction

(1) This service manual describes the service procedures including routine installation, repair,
and inspection procedures.
Please carefully read the content first in order to ensure the work is performed correctly and
safely.
In addition, please understand the content described in the instructions for use (IFU) manual.

(2) Please note that content such as data, illustrations, and photos may differ from the actual
product due to changes in product design.

(3) This service manual does not contain all material related to service that may be needed.
Furthermore, it has been prepared for people who have the basic skills, knowledge, etc.
required to perform the work.
If you do not have these skills and knowledge, please do not attempt to perform service
relying just on the service manual.

(4) In order to perform service correctly and safely, observe the following points.
1 ) Wear appropriate work clothing, safety glasses, gloves, etc. for the job being
performed.
2 ) In addition to ensuring the safety of workers, also take care not to harm any person
nearby.
3 ) Turn OFF the power switch and disconnect the power plug when not operating the
equipment.
4 ) Use measuring instruments, tools, and jigs that have been calibrated.
5 ) Be careful of static electricity which may be generated depending on the season or
work environment.
6 ) Do not directly touch parts that you would expect to have a high voltage or be very hot.

7 ) Always use designated parts for replacement parts.
8 ) When transporting the analyzer, ensure that it is carried by 2 or more persons, by
holding its bottom panel. (Equipment may be used for transporting the analyzer.)
9 ) Take care not to get hands caught in moving parts of a mechanism, etc. (See pictures
below)
10 ) Be careful when handling acidic, alkaline, and toxic (e.g., ethanol) reagents.
11 ) Be careful regarding infection from waste, samples, contaminated surfaces, etc.
12 ) When checking unit operation, ensure that the unit is connected to a protective ground
line. (See pictures below)
