Environmental Initiatives
As per recent theories on stakeholders, environment is considered a silent stakeholder which
needs to be considered as important as other stakeholders. At Aarti industries, environment
friendly processes include Environment Impact Assessments (EIA) for new projects which
assists the firm in developing a plan for addressing the possible impacts of its projects on the
ecosystem. As a result, the company ends up implementing the right technology at the
primary/design phase itself which confirms nominal impact on the silent stakeholder as well
as groups surrounding the premises. However, for the happening projects, the company has
Environmental Management Systems (EMS) whose functioning is monitored through Aarti
Management System (AMS).
 The company does strategic planning to achieve “Zero-liquid discharge” for its
manufacturing units by recycling water to reduce the supply of fresh water. Water
used in the heating process is recycled while being careful not to lose its temperature,
lowering heating energy consumption. Water is not collected directly from any source
hence causing zero influence on water bodies.
 Aarti Industries is constantly working to reduce its environmental footprint and
contribute to the UNFCCC's NDCs. The use of fossil fuels and grid energy are the
two major sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Its direct emissions come from the
consumption of fuel and coal inside the facilities, while indirect emissions come from
the consumption of purchased energy.
 It is dedicated to making the most effective use of raw materials and producing the
least amount of trash possible. Its strategic focus on converting by-products into
marketable goods not only reduces waste but also increases material efficiency. The
by-product is appropriately disposed of in accordance with statutory requirements. It

any ozone-depleting chemicals (ODS) in its production procedures.
