8. Capaian Pembelajaran Pronunciation Practice is dealing with the study of the basic knowledge of English sound system and is
Matakuliah (CPMK) meant to improve the students’ intelligibility in order to understand and to be easily understood when
having oral communication in English.
This course is aimed at building the students’ skill in English pronunciation skills. It is designed to equip
the students with an integrated resources and activities to improve their english pronunciation in order to
understand and to be easily understood in english speech communication activities. Thus, the course takers
have to follow a series of class activities designed for acquiring sets of concepts and principles in English
sound systems and achieving pronunciation skills which are crucially demanded in English
communication. Throughout the course, attention will be focused on providing an atmosphere of positive
reinforcement and constructive feedback. Students are encouraged to assist each other with suggestions for
improvement.The basic premise of this course is that pronunciation skill is a skill that can be mastered by
anyone with motivation and determination.
