ALIMARI, SHAIRA KAYE T.

BSN 2A

1. How was war depicted in the eyes of a child shown in the town of Aleppo, Syria?

 A child's perspective on war was conveyed. She witnessed a bombing that killed a
large number of people. She sobbed when she saw Jasmine's body, and she cried
when she saw her closest friend's body. Living in Aleppo, Syria, was challenging
for them. The constant bombardment around her has the potential to cause
trauma. She was terrified that she might perish as a result of the bombings.
Because of the attack, their country's roadways were blocked and their food
supply were cut off.

2. How are the interplay of Globalization through technology and the horrors of war
depicted in the case? How vital was the correlation?

 Our globalization has been greatly aided by technology. And technology is

crucial nowadays because we utilize it as a means of communication to spread
knowledge throughout the globe. Bana and her mother took to social media to
voice their displeasure with the ongoing conflict in Aleppo. Many people
throughout the world saw her message, and many of them were concerned about
the conflict. People have observed how awful the conflict is and are concerned
about the consequences for the people. Bana and her mother utilize technology to
inform the rest of the world about their country's condition.

3. How did Globalization, through social media awakened and moved people from
around the world to the harsh conditions of the people in Syria?

 People from all across the world utilize social media to provide a helping hand.
Through the use of social media, they band together to support Syria. Bana's
tweet was helpful since it motivated others to help and spare Syria from the
violence. People also saw how large the conflict is and how it destroys a lot of
property as well as people's mental and emotional health.

4. If the same technology brought by Globalization was available during the height of
WW1 and WW2, come up with at least three assertion/situations of what could have
happened or could have transpired during that time?

 If technology had been accessible during WW1 and WW2, citizens could have
been able to request assistance from other countries. And it's possible that
individuals were saved at the time, thus the real number of people harmed by the
battle was lower.
 If technology had been available at the time, your message could have reached
the whole globe in less than a minute. Many individuals will provide a hand by
expressing their worry as well as the current circumstances.
 If technology had been accessible at the time, perhaps presidents or higher-
ranking officials in other nations might have aided those afflicted by the conflict.

5. Consider the war in Marawi, if you were there trapped in the midst of the war and
armed with mobile phone with a battery almost dying out, give at least 3 tweets or
FB posts that you would like to tell the world at that moment and explain your
reason for each.
(1st post)
“Hello, my name is Shaira Kaye Alimari. I'm requesting your assistance. We need your help
in Marawi. We are terrified of the situation, and many people are depressed as a result of the
conflict. Please come and help us.”
(My reason to post this in FB is that it can easily reach other people and they can use their social
media to spread this post.)
(2nd post)
“Nakuhanan koi tong letratong ito habang ang mga rebelled at mga sundalo ay nagbabarilan.
Kita niyo naman kung gaano kagrabe ang giyera na nangyayari sa aming lugar. Tulongan
niyo kami. Madami na ang nasaktan at mga namatay ditto. Parang awa niyo na”

(Reason for posting: To ask for help and

let people know how hard the situation
here)

(3rd post)
“Hello to everyone on social media. We need your assistance with our food supply. Because
we are on the verge of starvation. And we have no idea where we can acquire any food or
drink. We're afraid that the rebels will notice us and murder us. Please help us!”
(Reason for posting is people are starving to death that they merely eat food because of the war.)
