ORDER OF BLESSING FOR THE STO.

NINO EXHIBIT

All present gathers at the main entrance of the exhibit hall. The celebrant begins the rite with the
following:

Priest: + In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit.

People: Amen.

Priest: The Lord be with you.

People: And with your spirit.

The celebrant invites all present to prayer.

Priest: Dear brothers and sisters,

let us pray to God the almighty Father
that all of us who will visit this exhibition of images
honoring the Child Jesus
may be transformed into His image
through the devout use of these signs
as aids to prayer.

Let us pray.

O God,
by whose word all things are made holy,
pour out your blessing + on this exhibition of images
honoring your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Grant that all who come and see them
with devotion and thanksgiving
may by your will experience health in body
and protection in soul
as they invoke your most Holy Name.
Through Christ Our Lord.

People: Amen.
The cutting of ribbons at the entrance takes place. Then the celebrant goes around the hall to
sprinkle the images with holy water, while an appropriate hymn is sung.

Once all the images are blessed, the celebrant concludes the rite with the following words:

Priest: May the Lord in his love and mercy

cherish and reinforce with his blessing
these tokens of devotion and piety,
so that you may take up the course of the present life
without offending anybody
and you may attain eternal life with joy,
through Christ our Lord.

People: Amen.

Priest: And may the blessing of the Almighty God

+ the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
come down on you and remain with you forever.

People: Amen.
