technical assistance to county Directors and Child Welfare Directors to improve adoption outcomes and services; work with policy staff to review policy and recommend for modifications. 10/2008-08/2009 Quality Assurance Specialist, Vaccines for Children (VFC) Michigan Department of Community Health/DHWP Detroit, MI Responsible for fifty (50) provider sites/clinics/hospitals enrolled in the VFC program in the city of Detroit; played an instrumental role in meeting state requirements for the completion of 150 annual site visits; monitored compliance, vaccine storage and handling, eligibility screening, and implemented policies and procedures for the VFC program; provided technical assistance and vaccine administration education to provider sites/clinics/hospitals; created and managed perpetual inventories to track fraud, medical errors, and vaccine distribution for the Detroit Immunization Program. 1/2008-10/2008 Project Coordinator Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. Detroit, MI Managed the Drug Free Communities SAMHSA grant as well as the Detroit Recovery Project Coalition (DRPC) and Love Detroit Youth-Street Team; identified over four (4) zip code target areas where youth substance abuse was prevalent in the absence of prevention programs; prepared questionnaires and focus group studies regarding accepted youth drug use, environmental factors, teen/adult violence, and social media influence; created social media campaigns, served as the single point of contact for instituting programs and providing technical assistance to other youth substance abuse prevention programs; established vendor and community relationships through outreach forums; Functioned as a subject matter expert to perform protocol design review and consumer reports; participated in cross-functional local and federal conferences for the betterment of the DRPC. 5/2007-1/2008 Health Coordinator Specialist Detroit Department of Health & Wellness Promotion Detroit, MI Responsible for the daily coordination of the Northwestern School Based Health Center; responsible for project planning and implementation of all health center activities, including the management of multiple aspects of data acquisition, involving regulatory compliance to Michigan Department of Community Health program guidelines; documented insurance verification of patients using WebDennis and Netwerkes insurance verification system.
