HEALTH HAZARD
ACUTE HEALTH EFFECTS
SWALLOWED: Poisonous if swallowed.
EYE: Corrosive to eyes.
SKIN: Will cause skin irritation.
INHALED: Avoid excessive inhalation.
CHRONIC HEALTH The effects of chronic exposure to Biocide LF2 have not been fully evaluated. As
EFFECTS: with any chemical, good occupational work practice should be implemented to
avoid ingestion, inhalation, skin or eye contact.

FIRST AID
SWALLOWED: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth and throat with water immediately. Dilute
stomach contents with a glass of water. Never administer fluids to an
unconscious person. Take individual to nearest medical facility.
EYE: Flush immediately and thoroughly with copious amounts of clean tap water or
saline (minimum 15 minutes). Take exposed individual to health care professional.
Preferably an opthamologist for further evaluation.
SKIN: Wash exposed area with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Remove
contaminated clothing and wash thoroughly. If irritation persists contact a doctor.
INHALED: Move affected person to fresh air. In case of shortness of breath, administer
oxygen and obtain medical assistance. Avoid becoming a casualty.
FIRST AID FACILITIES: Normal washroom facilities, water, soap, eye wash and shower.
ADVICE TO DOCTOR: No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
EXPOSURE STANDARDS: Not available.
VENTILATION: Use in a well ventilated room. Local exhaust recommended.
PERSONAL PROTECTION: P.V.C. or rubber gloves, safety glasses/goggles, Rubber boots & approved half
face filter respirator suitable for organic vapours recommended. Wash hands
thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
FLAMMABILITY: Product is non-flammable.

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION
STORAGE AND Store in sealed containers in cool, dry, well-ventilated storage away from sunlight
TRANSPORT: and extremes of temperature. Area should be constructed with suitable flooring
and bunding designed to fully contain spills.

SPILLS AND DISPOSAL:


LARGE SPILLS: Dam area to prevent spill entering drainage system. Pump into appropriate
containers and dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
SMALL SPILLS: Dilute and absorb in an inert solid such as sand, clay or vermiculite and shovel into
heavy-duty polythene bags or corrosion proof containers.
FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD: Product is non-flammable.

Water should be used to cool surrounding containers.
Extinguishing media: Dry chemical, water foam, or carbon dioxide.
