BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
This Integrative Performance Task contains lessons in the subject areas of
Music and English. The students are expected to come up with a drawing of musical
instruments in Mindanao (Music), and they are to use appropriate language,
behavior, and stance to describe and explain (English) how their chosen
instruments work.

OVERVIEW OF THE ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY


Students will draw at least three musical instruments from Mindanao on a
clean sheet of paper. On a separate sheet of paper, they are to provide a one-
paragraph explanation (modular) or record their answers to the following questions
using a video or audio, whichever is convenient to the learners (blended).
Questions will be provided to guide the students in their explanation.

Mindanao: one each for membranophone, aerophone, and
chordophone.
Using appropriate language, explain in a single paragraph:
1. Which ethnic groups make such instruments?
2. What are they made of?
