Dear Bapak/Ibu
(Invitees List Attached)

Invitation to
“Bicara Bumi: Mangrove Indonesia untuk Dunia, Praktik Terbaik Pengelolaan Mangrove”
Monday, June 27, 2022, 09:00 – 11:00 AM

The Government of Indonesia (GoI) has pledged to rehabilitate 600,000 ha of mangroves by

2024 (the National Mangroves Rehabilitation Program). The success of this program will significantly
contribute to GoI’s effort to achieve its National Determined Contributions (NDC) and Forest and Land
Use (FOLU) carbon sink target by 2030. Through the Mangroves for Coastal Resilience (M4CR)
project, the World Bank supports the GoI to enhance the management of mangroves and the livelihoods
of local communities in selected coastal landscapes.

In close coordination with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the Peatland and Mangrove
Restoration Agency and the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the World Bank
will jointly organize an event titled “Bicara Bumi: Mangroves Indonesia untuk Dunia, Praktik Terbaik
Pengelolaan Mangrove.” On this occasion, the World Bank will also launch the report “The Economics of
Large-Scale Mangrove Conservation and Restoration in Indonesia.”

We would like to cordially invite you to the event that will be held on:

Date: Monday, June 27, 2022

Time: 09:00 – 11:00am
