    MATHEMATICS HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
    CLASS IX

    Dear Parents,

    Vacation is the time eagerly awaited all year long. It is a wonderful break from our usual routines
    and is a chance to replenish creativity, enthusiasm, energy, and spirits. Some of us prefer to
    take rest; others plan to go on a trip, while some take up different activities, but all of us want to
    enjoy this time to the fullest. While we want our students to have fun during the summer break,
    we also want them to be thinkers and doers. So lets make them engaged with some joyful
    learning homework activities to enhance their mathematical and logical skills .All the very Best !

    Kindly note the new Examination Pattern

    1. There will be an Annual Examination based on the entire syllabus.


    2. The Annual Examination will be of 80 marks and 20 marks weightage shall be for Internal
    Assessment.
    3. For Internal Assessment:
    a. PEN PAPER TEST(5 marks) :There will be Periodic Assessment that would include: ● For
    5 marks- Three periodic tests conducted by the school. Average of the best two tests to be
    taken that will have a weightage of 05 marks towards the final result.
    b. MULTIPLE ASSESSMENT(5 Marks) Diverse methods of assessment as per the need of
    the class dynamics and curriculum transaction. These may include - short tests, oral test,
    quiz, concept maps, projects, posters, presentations etc
    c.Portfolio:(5 marks): It includes Student’s Achievements,Art integration Activities ,
    Experiential
    Learning Activities or some Innovative or creative Work done by the students.
    d.Lab Activities (5 marks): To be done in the Mathematics Project file.

    A) ASSIGNMENTS (To be done in the Assignment Register)

    1) Do the assignments from the following link of Question bank related to Chapters 1 and 3 in
    the assignment register .
    10 questions from each PART mentioned (MCQ, very short answer, short answer, long
    answer)
    2) Also draw the mind maps for ch 1 and 3 on an A4 sheet given in the question bank and
    place it in the portfolio.

    B) STUDENT REFLECTION CHECKLIST

    Take the print out of the SRC from the links given below ,fill it and place it in the portfolio .

    C) Root spiral Activity

    Make a root spiral on an A4 Sheet and Creatively Design an Image out of it.
    Work should be done in a very beautiful, colourful and neat manner.
    Reference images: (just for an an idea purpose)

    D) Take the coloured print out of the picture given below and paste it on an A4 Sheet .
    DIvide the picture page in First and Fourth Quadrant only using pencil so as not to destroy
    the picture content. Mark 5 points eminent/ Sharp visible points of the Gurudwara in the First
    quadrant and then also locate the coordinates of the water image of those points taken in the
    Fourth Quadrant.
