Read the story ‘Packing’. On the basis of your reading of the story, create your own comic
strip.
Read one comic strip to notice how the dialogue is written, and how the action changes in
each frame.
Use an A-4 size sheet to create your comic strip.
Let your work be Original.

to your overall health. So go for a small walk, observe yourself and fill the data accordingly-

2. Number of footsteps while walking.
3. Duration of walking.
4. Distance travelled by you while walking.
5. Your walking speed in m/s.
6. Your speed in km/h.
7. Observe the type of motion while walking.

NOW JOG FOR SMALL TIME DURATION AND OBSERVE.

1. Look at the following figures and suggest in which of the glass containers, i.e., A, B, C or

respectively. Who do you think would be more comfortable and why?
3. You want to wear your favourite shirt to a party, but the problem is that it is still wet after
a wash. What steps would you take to dry it faster?
4. While heating ice in a beaker with a thermometer suspended in it, a student recorded
the following observations:

Answer the following questions in your biology notebook
1. All the living organisms in this world are composed of one of the two types of cell- either
prokaryotic or eukaryotic. Study these two types of cells and answer the following
questions:-
a) Which cell organelle is found in both types of cells and why?
b) Which type of cell is found in multicellular organisms?
c) How are these two types of cells different from each other, with regard to number and
shape of chromosomes?
d) Bacteria do not have membrane bound cell organelles, still some bacteria can do
photosynthesis. Which part of the bacterial cell helps in performing photosynthesis?
2. Three types of solutions are observed on the basis of concentration of dissolved
solutes. They are hypotonic, hypertonic and isotonic. Study these three types of
solutions and answer the following questions:-
a) The raisins swell after being kept in water for a few hours. Why?
b) The cut pieces of cucumber in our salad lose water when salt is sprinkled on them.
Why?
c) An accident victim was administered a saline solution. The cells of the victim’s body
neither swelled nor shrank. What type of solution is the saline solution?
